-Concussion grenade is used more as a mobility tool than a weapon: that's literally what it's advertised as
-the Tracking rounds are actually really good against smaller, faster enemies that you just can't hit properly, as well as rapid procs for when you don't have alt secondary yet
the mine is godly for mobility jsut hop as its about to pop to be flung the direction your runing also it can be used to break your fall to avoid selfdam the overcharged ulti is Absolutly busted highest hit iv goten so far is 5mill and the scoped shots are truely devistating. the rail gunner isn't trash by any account there Realy strong infact.
Have you tried unlocking alternative weapons? I've been havin fun with these especially. 30 headshots in a row totally worth it.
But hey, not all classes are for everyone. I don't like bandit, commando, huntress... Anything except MUL-T and now also Railgunner, which are perfect for me. You just like different playstyle.
Sadly mods still broke. :(
If the dudes not having fun its a true statement.
Objective: Having fun with railgunner
OP = Not
Statement: OP is not having fun with railgunner
Is this true? Do you think this homie woke up and made a post like this after having a blast?
Saying "X is not fun" is very different from saying "I don't enjoy X"; the former generally implies that it is due to X being poorly designed, which is less opinion-like than not liking X due to Y playstyle.
...that said, "objectively false statement" with no elaboration is an equally terrible attempt at discussion as "X is bad".
Objective: I don't enjoy railgunner
You're confusing the terms.
You right, I haven't had enough sleep.
in that case the title should be 'I don't find Railgunner fun'
I think her damage really falls off when the enemies start getting to lv. 30+ on Monsoon.
Also the weak points on some enemies are just WHY!? Why is the Vagrant's weakpoints its end tentacles? Good luck hitting the worm's eyes. Overloading enemies feel nigh impossible to kill.
I agree that it's dumb her concussion grenade allows her to take fall damage. Especially when you have no natural way to control it. The mines would have been better if they were manual detonation. That way players can create a double jump based movement or some semblance of air control.
Quickscoping and killing enemies quickly feels fun, till it's no longer effective and that's all her kit has.
So... She's only fun after you unlock her alternative gear. That's bad design lol.
As for the concussion grenade, REX has a similar tool, but his DOES push everything and IS a great mobility tool. Railgunner's is all around worse in every way possible.
And there is no reason for the ultimate to be designed the way it is... In the time it takes to charge up and do its thing the window has been missed, and then you get LITERALLY PUNISHED for using it.
So yeah. Railgunner is unfun and needs a redesign. I can quick scope all day, and her main kit is fine, but ultimately after like 3 hours of play I realized that she just wasn't fun. At all. I literally hated playing her by the end, especially her ult.
Generally punishing players for using tools is a pretty universal no in game design. Do with that knowledge as you will.
listen to yourself, please.
P.S the ult rewards good timing in aim, so if you're good then it's not punishing. simple solution to a simple problem :P
if you hit yourself with a hammer, do you blame the hammer? or do you blame yourself? a bad worker blames his tools. on another note, rewarding players for skillful use of tools is a pretty good universal yes in game design.
