Check for amount of damage ticks.
Things to note;
- had no proc items (until the last stage), only movement, mobility, void band and attack speed - so damage numbers were purely from m1 attacks and only my m2 could proc bands.
- I only tested the differences when attacking a single enemy - as an FYI, for control.
After 30 syringes, a war horn and a gorags, so 450% + 70% + 100% = 620% and after reviewing a clip with no attack speed bonus attacking a boss (stage 1), and a clip with all previously mentioned items, there was no difference. Even after holding down my corrupted m1 on a target and using gorags (+170% attack speed with war horn) in-between my attack (activated the item when it hit 50% health) on the same target, there was no difference there either.
In terms of audio, when a hit registers from the attack it makes a sound, the sounds in all clips i had seen sounded identical. And furthermore i paused the clip after the first damage number started disappearing and counted 8 instances in every clip (9 depending if i paused the clip right as the lastest damage number shown up).
I had no proc items until the very last stage i stopped testing, and took an atg and a symbiotic scorpion. Since the scorpion item has a 100% chance to hit i used it to test his proc coefficients. His regular m1 definitely has 1.0, and his corrupted m1 seems to have a coefficient of around 0.5.
So overall, i basically had enough attack speed where my regular m1 had the same attack speed as the corrupted m1 (i paused a clip and counted the damage numbers with his regular m1 and saw 8 in multiple clips) and a higher proc coefficient, and so, his regular m1 had a higher damage output.
Like the laser beam of the engineer's turrets ?
the only 2 abilities i can think of off the top of my head that don't get affected is flamethrower and void fiend's corrupted M1 (if what op says is true i haven't tested myself)
His corrupted beam attack doesn't fire all them, it only fires one when you first press your primary, if you want to shoot more, you have to click a bunch as opposed to holding it down.
His uncorrupted primary doesn't have this problem.
