The way you can tell the Void item tiers apart is by what item they corrupt. If it corrupts a white item, it's a white tier Void item. If it corrupts a green item, it's green tier, etc.
Void Dio's would be a straight upgrade, except for that bit about "All your items that can be corrupted become corrupted", so it'll turn all your Clovers into Benthics and nah.
Benthic is such a trap item. It sounds so good! Upgrade a few items to higher tier each level! But unless you're getting a TON of items per level (So basically unless you're playing Sacrifice) it WILL eventually eat all of your whites. And eventually possibly all your greens too. Having nothing but reds sounds good, until you realize you won't have any speed increases, no Tougher Times, no attack speed bonus...
Yeah, those whites are foundational and you need them lol.
That's very true. On paper it seems like a fantastic item that can singlehandedly turn any run into a god run if you find it early enough, but in reality there's only a very small window where Benthic is optimal that lasts for about 2 to 3 stages before you plan to end your run, and after that it just ruins your build completely.
Benthic reminds me of Egocentrism a lot in this regard. It's all fun and games when it absorbs warbanners and plates, until suddenly -oops- it eats your [insert valuable item] and suddenly your run is on a timer.
