Strugging to unlock void fiend

I've tried several times to unlock void fiend on my own and still no luck. I did a 45 minute run, which ended with me getting kidnapped by a void reaver because i got caught in its explosion. All the servers are also private so i can't find anybody to play with. And i even die on monsoon with swarms, kin and command and we never find the void portal. Someone please help me , im running out of options.

This is what I did. I just wanted Void Fiend so I set it to Drizzle and played Acrid. It was pretty easy and boring but it worked.

i did that with the Modifier that spawns enemies 2x more and that they drop items, i overdid it with commando and went to wave 100 on drizzle... game crashed but it was worth the FPS breakdowns :D

You can play the game as normal, when you complete Sky Meadow the portal opens up, I did it with the Engineer first try.

GO to wave mode, pick engineer, put it on easy, you'll get him in no time at all

PSA; don't.

The new corrupted debuff (Which is extremely common in the new game mode thanks to all the corrupted item pods) will make Engineer's turrets attack him, and they kill him within a few seconds at all stages of the game.

try artificer with the sky burst ability, played it in easy and a quick unlock for void fiend just now

i did engineer on drizzle. first 25 waves were active playing, the next 105 were just afk+ moving w/ the creature. i ended up w/ around 665m dmg in 2hrs 31minutes iirc.

OP did you try to go to the void fields via the bazaar yet?
easiest route to go to the planetarium if you are struggeling, try on drizzle and it should be easy for you
tip: grab some hp regen items i.e. strides of heresy while you are at it, you will need it

Are you serious? This is a massive oversight if true. I didn't get the opportunity to try engineer on the new game mode when I was playing with a friend who bought the DLC. I'll have to see this for myself later.

How could this not have been caught by even the most cursory of play testing?

If you get lucky and get an Eccentric Vase in the first 2 rounds, you can just go to Void Fields and do the new final boss the teleportation from Eccentric Vase counteracts the wacky difficulty in that area now. A friend and I (mostly me since he instantly died) did the new final boss after the 2nd stage, and I was Railgunner with a Kjaro so it was extremely easy.

At the end of the day the game is meant to be fun. You don't even have to rush it in a real game like I did, if you aren't having fun trying to get the character you can just Artifact of Command it. Not my preferred playstyle, but it counts for unlocks so you do you.

edit: tried a 45 minute run and died to a void jailer, this is extremely frustrating and i am near giving up
