Corrupted Items/Captains red item logbook/Void air damage
so first ill start with captains red item, anyone have any clue how to get the damned log entry for it?
I've asked before and people said to do artifact of vengeance, stay on stage 1 with no other items until doppleganger appears and then kill for the red item.. okay cool, did that, and the item didnt drop which I thought was a guarantee - did I do something wrong? anyone have another way to do it? just sick of seeing the empty slot in my otherwise almost entirely filled logbook(CURSE YOU CRAB QUEST)

Now to the corrupted items, where do you obtain them? what stage do you start seeing them or their converter at? Did a number of runs today usually up to stay 6-9 depending on what realms I went into and I didnt see a single corrupted item or shop to convert them(unless I really did just miss them) so where do you find those?(could just be I needed to go to later stages, guess I'll see in answers or next time I play)

finally the void air damage... I understand it was kind of treated as a joke before and the devs probably wanted to get people to see it as an actual threat(instead of just sitting in acrids home farming items with the item drop artifact after getting 3 plates to negate the damage) but anyone else think it got a bit overtuned? now you cant even risk that realm unless you have like 3-8 mushrooms, and even then you ahve to be careful to stop and let yourself heal while just moving between the nodes if you dont have enough movement speed! Not even to mention some of the phases of the new boss(which I wont go into too much detail of because I don't want to overly spoil), it just seems like they went from one hard side where everything could negate the damage and even if you didnt it wasnt much damage straight to the other where NOTHING negates it and it REALLY HURTS.... might just be me I suppose, but was curious what others thought.

For the Logbook entry for the Defensive Microbots, you must follow these steps:
1 Turn on Artifact of Vengeance (optional Swarms)
2 Select Drizzle (optional)
3 Select Captain
4 Press Ready
5 Run straight to the Teleporter and beat the Boss with no items
6 Wait 10 Minutes
7 Once the Doppelganger appears, kill them with no items (The Doppelganger will have the same inventory as the player, so to guarantee that it will drop the Defensive Microbots, we need to have no other item in our inventory). *
8 Repeat if you Die
9 Profit

*note, I am pretty sure you can pick up items after the Doppelganger appears, however I wouldn't chance it and just no item kill them just to be safe.

As for the Void items, they appear in Unique Chests that cost 50% of your health. Because they are chests I pretty sure they can appear on any stage as long as you get lucky. These chests also appear in a Unique event called the Void Seed where you have to clear out all Void (elite) Enemies, including the Void Infestors (?), within the area.

I also find the Void Air damage to be rather high, however while I had Wungus I felt it was too easy because of how much it healed (I guess that is % healing being super strong in general). Other then that one item, I feel indifferent that the void fields now requires faster movement speed or high healing to overcome instead of just walking in at the start of a run to get a free Red item. I also wouldn't care if they nerfed the damage or reverted it back. As for is it fair, its too early to tell, maybe there are other items, like Wungus, that also help against it or strategies for slower characters to complete it that I didn't think of when I went for the first alt boss run.

Yeah I did the entire thing for captain but no item was dropped, he died and just.. nothing, poof, body vanished event ended but no item anywhere - it is guaranteed to drop one isnt it?

And that explains the void items, Ive been playing a bunch with sacrifice lately so makes sense I didnt run into them if they are only from chests you have to give health for.... I wonder if theyll make them recieveable some other way with sacrifice or make it so those chests still spawn, seems losing access to that entire pool of items to play with an artifact would be saddening

as you can see in this video (https://youtu.be/9L03DPGLpBs) I kill vengeance captain with no items after completing the boss but he doesnt drop anything, at the end I even go check the portal platform to see if it might have dropped there
