So far it's the worst Lunar item added to the game. I think it might at least be a little balanced if the damage scaled with the player level, or something like that.
In it's current form, it's entirely worthless and only hurts the player. Never worth taking.
I dont think you can maintain Egocentrism without using Sacrifice
I think it could be fine if it stole an item maybe every 2-3 minutes, but 1 minute is WAY too fast.
As mentioned before, it's perfect for cleansing pools. Seeing how it's already a close-range damage dealer, trading a couple counts of the item for a large health boost is usually great - it's already a natural choice on characters like Loader or Mul-T who will benefit greatly from the HP and the close range damage.
If your build is outright useless thanks to bad luck, it gives you damage. Not a lot of damage, but it's guaranteed damage which is sometimes exactly what a build needs.
It is good? Conditionally, and I think that's perfect for a Lunar item. You definitely don't want it when you already have a good build, but if your build is already a mess, it's not a bad pickup.
There has never been a lunar that killed runs as fast as this one
I died within 7 minutes of picking it up because it stole all of my surviability, the only situation where its ok is IF you find a cleansing pool, which is an incredibly rare scenario (in my 320 hours i've only seen 5 pools)
No other lunar is ever a garenteed run killer, this is pretty much a run killer garenteed unless you are playing command sac to keep up with item consumption
Lunar items are meant to be weird, imbalanced, and possibly run-ending.
I personally find it hilarious. Desperately grabbing up items only for them to be absorbed into the fold.
This feels like a case of effigy of grief where the first version sure was unique but counter acts itself with it's own gimmick
