Extremely long initial loading (Survivors of the Void DLC)

After purchasing the DLC and patching, when launching the game, I get a black screen with a loading percentage in the bottom-right. On this screen, it takes around 20-30 minutes to completely load in and reach the title screen; the only way out of this screen is to either wait, or force the game to close via task manager.

I have restarted my PC, verified integrity of files, and uninstalled/reinstalled. This issue did not occur before the DLC patch.

Not getting 20 minutes, but loading in general is bad now. I'm having stutters when I never had them before.

takes like 10 mins for me to boot the game, but the game runs fine after that

Same here, and performance sucks after the long download. Being locked in a room with 4 bosses makes my screen perform like a pptx.

Using Linux with Proton (GE-7-4), it takes 1m 17s from clicking the shortcut to reach the main menu with the intro and splash screen skipped in the config file.

I didn't time it before the expansion but think it used to take about 40 to 45s.

The % progress indicator used to jump from 0 to 100% almost right away but now it takes 25s or so to fill up.

Edit - above is with no mods. With mods updated for the DLC enabled it takes a few seconds longer (about 1m 20s).

I kind of just accepted it but yeah, game does take waaaaaaaaay longer to load now
