How rare is Siren’s call?

Trying to get Loader, but I often end up in a different area instead when I get to stage 4. I play Bandit, so I’m not sure if character choice affects it or not. Either that, or I’m seriously unlucky.

Which is it?

Just unlucky. If you can, go to the bazaar on stage 3 to try and dream it up.

How will I know if it’s the right map? Will the image of the map in the bubble match the image on the wiki/fandom site?

Its a 33% chance to get sirens call. There is 3 "stage 4" maps. Characters dont effect the map chance.

It should. In any case choose the one that doesn't look like Abyssal Depths or Sundered Grove.

Sirens call dream is the blue one that has those donut-shaped constructs like the ones you find in titanic plains (not exactly the same). Abyssal depths is red and if I recall correctly Sundered Grove is kinda green/dark blue and you can see mushrooms.

Thanks y’all. I’ve been seriously unlucky, been getting Abyssal Depths repeatedly all morning. If y’all were lucky as hell to get this damn map, then good for you.

Were you doing a single run and just looping continuously? Or was this over several runs?

Several runs. I’m not good enough to fully loop yet, although I’ve made it to the looping phase once with Bandit. Also it doesn’t help that I’m a console player so I’m fairly handicapped, aim wise, to use a controller.

And I might have to Bazaar it, tbh.

1/3 if you go there randomly, 2/3 to roll in the bazaar which makes it guarenteed if you spend the lunar coins on it

Yeah when I’m solely focusing on unlocking Loader, I’m going the bazaar route. I’ve given up on the game naturally giving it to me since I’ve gotten nothing but the other two maps.

My process will be: play game until third stage > check for blue orb message > look for statue that spawns the portal for a lunar coin > go to Siren’s Call, otherwise end run > repeat

But right now I’m taking a break from going for Loader and instead focusing on getting two artifacts I want, which requires going to the fifth stage. And since I’ll be moving past the fourth stage I might as well give the game the last few chances to give me Siren’s Call, unless the third stage gives me an automatic blue orb which spawns the portal to the bazaar.

Yeah, I play with controller and from the 300 hours I have with this game at least 200 are me just using huntress lol. I think huntress does very well with a controller so... yeah. If you play on console I´d recommend huntress. That said, I've been able to learn to play most stuff with a controller. Not that easy, but doable.

P.S. If you go bazaar the probability of getting to Siren's call is actually higher than 2/3.

It is 2/3+1/3*1/3 which is around 77.7%.

There is a chance of 2/3 of getting Siren's call in the dream thingies and 1/3 chance of getting it if you just use the portal because it wasn't in the dream thingy.

I was a fan of huntress’ mobility and the fact that she has an auto aim type of attack, but I’m not a fan of her damage output, since it doesn’t feel that great to me.

Bandit, on the other hand, has been quite good to me. He moves faster with his invisibility and it’s great for giving you two jump boosts if you: jump > invisibility > knife/melee. Shooting their gun will still boost you but will slow your momentum down a fair bit. Also his damage is insane.

And yeah, I just got home from work so I’m gonna hunt down the Bazaar on stage 3 and hope for the best that Siren is in the dream bubble. Thanks!

Yeah. Huntress doesn't have a lot of damage early game, but it's safe damage. She just doesn't miss and she has the second best "controlled" mobility in the game behind mercenary. That means that you can keep shooting and dealing damage while focusing in everything else: Dodging, searching for chests, scouting the map, searching for the teleporter, opening chests.

Her power lies in that a lot of what she does is multihit and she benefits a lot from attack speed so she has very high proc rates. For the rest, she has Ballista.

With Bandit I'm personally not a fan of the knife so I usually replace it by hooks of heresy which gives him some (not a ton of) medium range aoe. Besides that, he's great, just terrible at long range. He's also a better user of purity, or more exactly, He makes purity viable (so that you can spam desperado and invisibility)
