Best version setup for modding (resolved)

Have tried modding again and again but its just not working. I always get stuck at a black screen on boot up. what is the best version for modded play/any modding tips, thanks

r2modman is amazingly good. no effort at all. It even lets you edit configs through it.

How would you compare r2modman with Thunderstore mod manager? I already have the latter, so is there an easy way to transfer all the mods over to r2 if it's better? Would any of you recommend the switch at all? Thunderstore seems a little bloated...

I followed this tutorial https://youtu.be/tq-r-1GDn7Y but when I booted up with just the base mods like Bepin, HookGen and R2API and whenever I boot it up with mods I just get a black screen Im not sure what I may have done wrong or what needs to be changed

yeah i think it just takes a long time to load the first few times you boot after installing mods. If you just wait a couple minutes it should be fine. (at least for me it was)
