How is anyone supposed to finish the 20 stage achievement?

So I made it to the 20th stage and was about 70% done charging the teleporter, when the stupid game decided to spawn in like 7 void reavers, and at this time I was super fast and melting everything, but I acidently clip a void reaver explosion, and that is it, run done, all 100% barrier and life gone in an instant. WTF! Hours wasted... How the hell is anyone supposed to do it?

I would say not being caught in the void reaver explosion might do the trick.

Well easier said than done when your character is going so fast it is glitching almost all the time. Bit hard to control...

if you hadn't considered it already, Drizzle is probably for the best.No shame in playing on drizzle if you really want certain unlocks

I was playing on drizzle, the others seem impossible. But 20 stages in there was just too much to avoid, and I was sure that was what OSP was for, but then I find that void reavers break that, that is just stupid... And they were EVERYWHERE!

Not to kick a guy when he's down, but a lot of the player base consider stage like 4-6 the hardest. After that, you snowball past the enemy and melt everything while laughing maniacally. Yyeah you can get one-shotted, but you also just one shot everything without even looking at it.

Could've been too slow about picking up items or something so you didn't snowball like nutters?
I know a lot of folks who prescribe to the 'rush the teleporter' philosophy without understanding the why and they get screwed over. You rush the teleporter because it forces the game to hand you money. If you don't spend that money, it's a bad plan. Once the game hands you tons of money anyways, there's no reason to rush or anything like that.

Use command artifact, play on drizzle, get a ton of goat hooves and 1 soda for early items, then build damage, then max out barrier.

Don't waste time checking the entire level for items. Just get to the TP and run it as fast as you can. The longer you delay the possibility of being overrun the better. Once it gets really chaotic just keep your distance, try to stay airborne with feather so you're hard to hit. I had a run get destroyed by void reavers on stage ~16 before, keep a close eye out for them and keep your distance from them as much as you can.

No I snow balled just fine, hence the melting everything. But I just did not see the explosion of it dying and just barely clipped it and that was it. I was pissed... I had killed a plethora of malachite, and overloading things but those void they suck all the ass, and just should not be in Drizzle at all, when there is like 7 explosions around you and they are each so very big, what is one to do but die? I mean there is no timer and all those void reavers died at different times, so how is anyone supposed to know, 1 that they break the fail safe the game needs (STUPID IDEA), and 2 when are all these game breaking bombs, surrounding me, going to blow?

Nope thanks for all the help, but I think I am done with this game... The devs made it stupid hard even on drizzle. I try to rush and get swarmed by like 50 mobs at the teleporter, stupid no balance game...

stack gesture of the drowned with good dps equipment and strides of heresy. stack them enough and you become permanently immune to all damage and activate your equipment multiple times a second. made it to stage 50 on monsoon with a friend and quit because got bored. free game.

I just did that, and by stage 20 I rarely got the chance to even see an enemy before it exploded. I had a number of reds mind you, notably the knife item, combined with other things and a disciple everything around me just exploded constantly. Still took a looong time though.

What made me invincible was my brooches. I had a constant 4k yellow shield up from those.

Void reavers can only appear in certain stages, and only after the first loop. Their death pulse bypasses OSP; It doesn't damage you, It literally doesn't do damage, it just removes you from the game (Pulls you into the void.)

It can only appear on Rallypoint Delta, and on Siren's Call iirc; you can use the bazaar to skip rallypoint, which just leaves sirens.

They'll nuke anything in range, player, boss, other void reavers, doesn't matter. So you just need to stay away from them, Or be very quick about getting out of the way.

To me, the biggest mistake I see in your OP isn't even that you got gibbed- IT's that you gathered so much movement speed that you lost control of your character. There's a point at which you should just start skipping extra movement items, Or converting them into scrap, because that loss of control can and will get you killed, either by a void reaver or by some other enemy.

tbh, considering commando is the starter character, it's stupid that his unlocks are some of the hardest to get, even more so that he's pretty trash and boring design-wise without his unlockables; I can see the combination of all that turning away a lot of new players just from their first-impressions on the game from playing base kit commando.

nah it is ok, I have many much more balanced that I can play, I got all the characters and stuff, so I am good, I will treat it like the binding of Isaac, I will never get the Godhead tried some like 300+ times, so nope I am good...

They put in OSP for a reason... if their stupid achievements are too impossible for the average gamer, well that is not my fault, that is theirs...
