I don't think Forgive Me Please is why you won.
It is a very powerful equipment at times because on death effects are some of the better effects.
Don't get me wrong, FMP can become pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nutty and wipe the floor with pretty much any enemy in the game (including Mithrix), but it's not OP unless you have almost every on-kill item in the game, which does not happen a lot - unless you play with Command.
I'm not gonna be like everyone else and say that you're not allowed to play with Command, play with it all you like, but at least understand that Command itself is rediculously overpowered and can make even Monsoon feel easier than Drizzle.
"FORGIVE ME OP"
Alright then.
At the same time, the devs themselves have also agreed to keep the game as little nerfed as possible, I am with most confidence that they won't be nerfing forgive me please just to relax your bones, as they would like players to be able to be rewarded through these builds overtime, in a casual game like risk of rain 2, nerfing many combos of items would be just taking the fun away from the rewards you could get by putting in the time and effort to assort a "item combo". (unless something truly were broken from stage 1 and on, and were extremely common).
The best item combo being fuel cells, gesture, homing missile, actually has a easier setting than the forgive me please, as it only requires a lunar item, and a green, which are two somewhat common items depending on how you play, and the homing missile is a use item, which are fairly common to find in-game, this setup not only is easier, but takes alot less effort, however, even with it being the combo with the least effort and the most results to come out of it once you down its seconds, it takes a very long time to do so, whereas it takes nearly just as much time to get a ceremonial dagger, if lucky.
