It's not the greatest for long runs, but in long runs you're much more likely to come across a cleansing pool.
If you plan on playing long though, definitely say skip.
Terrible in every which way if you get more than 1 as the limit to how much you can heal is decreased
Getting corpsebloom on Rex is actually the opposite of ''working well'' lol.His heal is already enough to get him to full hp whenever he wants to, getting corpsebloom only slows it down.
Also having 3-4k overheals between fights just sounds like a lot of wasted healing, since it’s literally doing nothing for you unless you have a specific rare item. (Actually, does Corpsebloom even synergize with Aegis at all? Half of your healing becoming barrier means your capped at 5% barrier/second, and it degrades at 3.33% max hp/second according to the wiki. Kind of sad that an item that literally doubles your healing also makes a rare item that relies on healing almost completely useless.)
The balance of items is most important regarding whether or not they help you get off the ground and potentially win, and Corpsebloom is right up there with Gesture of the Drowned for "high upside, low downside" in that context.
I'm not sure how else they could make Corpsebloom stack. They COULD, like Gesture of the Drowned and Transcendence, simply make stacking it beneficial (I.E., increase the total amount healed WITHOUT decreasing the max healing per second). It fills an interesting role as a nearly strictly beneficial Lunar Item for short runs, though.
