maybe you can try too loop stage 8? mithrix is extreem hard enemy
of you can try some artifacts. Artifact of Sacrifice + Artifact of Swarms so can you get more items.
ps. try maybe some multiplayer
I'm glad if I survive stage 5 this is just ridiculous :(
The mistake most people make is speed, they go wayy too slow.
I recommend getting in to a good pattern where you
Loop > Teleporter > Loop > Leave Stage > Repeat
You should be spending 5 minutes or less per each stage to stay on a good time~
it wasnt for me and i tried mithrix on monsoon numerous times. i was also almost able to obliterate then got 1 shot by an elite ice golem.
easy for you thats fine. me? i dont care for ohko twitchy speed running gameplay. so i used a trainner just for the skins. still enjoying the game though.
In normal runs on Rainstorm, all three of those are less valuable. Still good, but you don't need them as much as you do on Monsoon.
If you get the luxury of a Red item, hope for Sacrificial Dagger or Tesla Coil. Both auto-aim and hit hard.
Likewise, as captain, The Back-up is very good (your defensive Microbot spawns on the Strike Drones) and Disposable Missile Launcher is always useful. They may not target what you want, but fire-and-forget leaves you free to focus on movement.
Try to go to the shop early: within the first 10 minutes. Trading up white->Green and Green->Red items can be a game winner. Green cauldron contains Razorwire? Look at the lunar items for Hellfire Tincture and enjoy the free first loop if it's there. A Gesture of the Drowned triggering your Back-Up or Missile Launcher takes some of the stress off too.
While you're there, consider if you're capable of doing the Void Fields: 4 White, 4 Green and 1 Red item for (potentially) little effort without pushing the timer difficulty up can carry you far. Beware though, I'm pretty sure (in my game at least) that the enemies get Tesla Coil as their 5th item 9/10 times. If the foes there get Tougher Times, Tri-Tip Dagger, Razorwire, Chronobauble, Dios' Best Friend, Tesla Coil or 57-leaf Clover (while having any Proc item), then consider bailing for the portal. Chances are you'll still pull some items out to improve your run.
My advice: Use Artifacts like Gabber said above. Sacrifice alone means that you don't have to worry about stopping for chests and pods, leaving your more free to focus on the enemies. Swarms makes it harder by doubling the enemies, but gives you a higher chance to get items (Technically lower chance, but so many enemies spawn that you'll inevitably have more than you expect - easily 10 per stage). Command is also viable and as game breaking as you expect - don't let anyone tell you it's a cop out.
Finally: Mithrix is a hypocritical ass. Don't feel bad about switching the Meadows Teleporter to the Planet and proceeding to Obliterate at stage 8 for your skin.
Pacing - knowing how long to spend on each level and when to hit the tele' to fight the boss and GTFO. most peoples problems are spending way too much time on the first few levels. on majority of monsoon runs i have started the boss before the Clock hits the A in Easy
item knowledge - simply understanding all items, how much you should have of each, and how much better they are compared to other items goes along way, esp. when dealing with RNG.
Scrap and Printers allows well-knowledged players to create something strong in 5 stages.
Acrid level - using a lunar token as soon as you find a lunar alter and doing the secret acrid stage (void fields) for 4 whites, 4 greens and 1 red, without the timer going up can easymode most monsoon runs.
artifacts - from Super easy mode (command) with other artifacts like sacrifice (less time spent looking for chests, less wasting time on early levels which allows you to beat the increase in level hardness) or even something like Kin ( mostly easy mobs, but you could RNG a pretty hard mob to deal with on some characters)
