Kipkip help

So i'm fighting Kipkip the Gentle right now and am finding it harder than what the internet tells me. What exactly causes him to heal? I know he has the delayed healing from the medkits but is there anything else because I'm trying to damage him as fast as possible, I may just be getting unlucky though. I'm using Captain with nothing to boost attack speed except one soldier's syringe.

He has monster tooth and topaz. These will activate when he does his throwing attack, giving him some healing outside medkit. Medkit itself won't actually activate if you attack him fast enough. Sounds like you just don't have enough dps to kill him.

Yeah, it's a shame. Looks like this is the end of my run for now. Guess I'll just have to find a character with more attack speed or obtain more syringes for next time.

It's something with the beetle guards. I just fought him and he healed forever.
Sitting on top of him made him walk away and the beetle guards didn't follow. Once he was alone he didn't heal anymore.
If he has monster tooth, the beetle guards probably drop healing orbs for him.
