Crowdfunder and Brittle Crown
I really love this combo of items. It's taking two items most people consider to be absolute trash, throwing them together, and becoming an infinite wealth generating minigun that more than doubles your DPS.

You guys ever try it? It's even better with the recent crowdfunder buff, once you get a couple crowns you make more than you lose when shooting, so it's just effectively faster money on hit.

Crowdfunder is decent lategame because you just don't run out of money. I doubt you'd need a crown later on

surely your joking?? This has to be one of the worst, if not the worst item combinations imaginable

Dead serious. You ever try it out? You make infinite money, the crowdfunder stays going constantly and speeds up. With 2 brittle crowns it is self sustaining, has a 1.0 proc chance, does 100% damage with each bullet, and fires I think about as fast as Mul-T's nailgun. Basically it is like strapping two commandos together and taping them onto your shoulder to shoot at what is infront of you and getting paid to do it.

Does sound like fun... not sure it's enough to convince me to pick up one or the other in the hopes I get the combo though, lol.

i've had it before, but to really get it to work i had 2 crowd funders and some sort of auto damage like ceremonial daggers. early on its rough to keep it going. after about the 2nd loop its super easy to keep it going.

not something i'd invest in early but later it can be funny.

I've really found it to help when I'm having a rough run and am behind in items since it boosts my dps massively and lets me get items faster.

The issue with both of these is that by the time this combo becomes useful, literally anything else is better.
Royal Capacitor, Preon Accumulator, Missle Launcher, etc. Basically any damage-dealing Equipment is better than Crowdfunder.
Brittle Crown is also still worthless because by the time you have enough mobility to not get hit and benefit from the Crown, guess what you don't need? More gold.

To be honest I never really found the brittle crown so bad on characters like commando or huntress, which I commonly use. They fire a lot, dodge a lot, and I tend to just get benefit from the thing even early on and stacking more and more of them just is pure benefit at that point. Throwing on a crowdfunder and doubling my DPS and having all the procs for it is huge, way better DPS than the other equipment with their long cooldowns unless I have managed to stack up gesture of the drowned and fuelcells.

one of my more favorite combos is lots of fuel cells and gesture on Mul-T. have something thats like a healing item or low timer item and find a warhorn. your alt ability would be the royal capacitor or something of that nature. you'll still stock charges and the second you got an enemy lock you'll start using royal capacitor. it'll clear the field if you just sweep your vision and lock as many things as possible.

i call it Riding the Lightning.

Crown-funder is one of my favorite go-to combos on Commando early game, but you need to have a good selection of proc items for it to shine. You can further combine it with strides of heresy, because crowdfunder will continue firing even while you're in the shadow form and healing.

I suppose it works on Huntress too, and MUL-T if you've got good mobility at that point like a hopoo feather or two. It's garbage on the other characters IMO. I just did a 4-loop game with MUL-T using Crown-funder on Monsoon.

It's nice in MP because you can have some solid DPS while letting your teammates bulk up on other combos involving gestures/fuel cells.

Oh yeah definitely with the MP thing. I often play with a friend who's addicted to the spinal tonic and gesture combo so he goes and massively buffs his DPS that way and I do it with this often enough if I find myself falling behind.

yeah spinal tonic and gesture is great though if i can, i wait until i've managed to get a soul bound catalyst. nothing like endless tonic and never having the debuff!
