What are some tips for getting through more levels on monsoon difficulty

What are some other tips on getting better at the game? One of the tips that I learned from the vid was to activate the teleporter as soon as possible and then grab any items that are close by.

try to get every item before activating tele
take no more than 4 mins a stage
always get newt altar and stack lunar items
abuse knockback or make enemies/bosses charge off cliff if possible
take tonic
trade bad items in the bazaar or at 3d printer
stack guillotine

Duck out of the teleporter radius if things get too hot. It won't hurt unless you stay out there long enough to recover before jumping in again. You're gonna end up doing that a lot when you start getting three or four bosses at once and malachites spawn semi-frequently.

I haven't watched the video, so I don't know if I'm repeating it.

1 this will burn through your lunar coins every run.

Any other advise i can give you is to move and be aware of what is around you. I've found myself often getting nuked while i was standing still because i had to scratch my nose.
Also praying to RNGsus might help.

i was slightly unclear, but by stack lunar items i mean only the non bad ones
glass, tonic, gesture, trans
all the other ones are terrible and should never be picked up
lunar coin number can be edited, its like the 2nd block of code in save file
or you could obliterate a few hundred times
