solution for the dc "bug" in multiplayer

hey there,

so what u have to do is join ur friends game / open ur own, after everyone is in ur lobby, u open ur steams friendslist, and everyone does is "show urself as offline". so far weve played a few rounds and it seems to work. i hope it helps a few of u guys =)

yeah steam is a common issue with most P2P games in some areas. but by this logic picking a better download server for steam would also resolve the issue.

sadly some people like my friend disconnect simply because ISPs are greedy corps that put out minimal effort for maximum profit. so internet in my state jsut sucks in general unless your willing to pay a ransom.

idk how all the internet connection ISPs stuff work, but what ive heard its on steam's side u getting kicked out or the host loses connection for less then a sec. so my thinking was when u playing with ur friends, all of u show urself as "offline" so ur not connected to the steamfriends server, but thats just a speculation from my side... but like i said as for now we didnt had any "random" dc's...

just ran an 1.5+h game with 3 friends using the offlne on steam trick, It seems to work :-)

Also if you look for "black screen" you get 13 pages of complaints. Not one, not two, not five, thirteen damn pages.
Iirc devs have yet to acknowledge this problem, and I don't have any idea how much more pages do they need.
