Why would you ever use Mul-T's Scrap Launcher?
I love the idea of it, but it feels really weak, even after buffs. There's no good place for it, I feel like.

Auto-Nailgun covers medium or close range with decent damage and a fast speed.
Rebar Puncher covers long range with good damage, but a slow fire speed.
Power-Saw covers only melee range with good damage.
Scrap launcher covers medium or close range with okay damage and slow speed.

I just don't see the point in ever using it. It's projectile is too wonky it makes killing wisps hard, so it's a death sentence to use it with the power-saw, and the power-saw is way too good to give up.

The blast size on that thing is just too tiny for it to worth what my guess is it's intention: AOE damage. Overall, the weapon just doesn't have the consistency that Auto-Nailgun, Rebar Puncher, or Power-Saw have. And even with consistency, it's damage and explosion radius don't feel good enough.

It's disappointing, because the idea seems the coolest to me, but I'll probably stick with Auto and Power in solo, and Rebar and Power in multiplayer.

Single damage abilities are always weaker sadly, it's the nature of the proc heavy dps the game balances for. Like you said though the radius is too small, you will most likely never hit more than one target unless you aim between them, rebar puncher has more crowd killing potential.

The same small radius complaint can be said about commando's frags, and they also have an unreliable trigger mechanism. That being said Scrap launcher should take notes from the stronger central blast of these grenades. If scrap launcher did high impact damage and then fragmented in a radius it would be much better and much more loved.

And even then, I'm pretty sure you don't deal full damage when you don't hit dead on. I remember from a previous game I dealt 60 dmg from a hit, but when I missed and only hit the ground, a mere 15 damage. I might be remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

Really, I just think the radius needs to be much larger whether by fragments or just a larger impact radius. Additionally, if I'm right about non impact damage being weaker... well that needs to be removed entirely.

That might be damage falloff, I don't know if it is applied to scrap launcher but imo it should be changed to not if it does.

i think a better question is why would you ever use MUL-T's saw?

It was a close distance shot, like... 3 beetles distance. I just have ♥♥♥♥ aim.

Power saws actually pretty damn good. Its damage is crazy and proc aint too bad. Against stone titans its a game changer.
