Items that stack linearly (With a cap) are kinda lame.
In specific, I'm talking about Tri-Tip daggers, Lens-Maker's Glasses, and Stickbomb. If you don't know how they stack, in order, it's +15% to bleed per stack, +10% chance to crit on stack, and +5% to attach stickybomb on stack.

I'm under the opinion that there are no items that should have a "cap" where you can have as little as 7 tri-tips and never need any more, in most cases. It's just lame. My suggestion is simple:

1. Make these three items better (Make bleed more effective, crit deal more damage (maybe x3 or 4), and make stickybomb deal more damage.
2. Then, make them stack like Teddybears, maybe with some faster stacking so you can get near 100% faster.

The stun-grenade stacks like this, and it's effect is arguably very mediocre since it doesn't work on bosses. Glasses are super powerful, but stack linearly, which makes no since to me.

Items that have an effective cap should not stack linearly.

It's fine for items to have a cap, and a better solution would just to have a chance to double the effects for every amount you're over 100%.

There were items that capped in RoR too.

I don't see anything wrong with it if it applies to stuff like syringes where your character's just gonna bust, but sticky bombs and lenses could double proc or crit.

Remember that survivors have different proc coefficients, but there's so little data or outdated information about them it's hard to figure out how much you're actually getting out of items and their stacking effects.

The proc coef is diferent on each skill. Expect slow/cooldown/risky stuff to have 1, and fast shooty to have an average of 0.8, with mul-t being the worst with his pew pew. iirc it was 0.6 or 0.4. This was the old numbers though, they shouldn't have gone down for anyone since then as there didn't seem to be much outcry or other complaints.

But as it is, some items clearly have gone down the drain. For proc characters it seems it's better to have one of each rather than stacking. Especially due to their damage not being increased by more items.

Some proc items do more damage with stacks. Usually green ones, which makes some sense.

I'm quite the opposite, I like items that have caps because you feel you have completed something and can focus on getting other items, in a game of RNG a bit of consistency goes a long way.

I don't really feel like comparing ROR2 to ROR is really that valid tbh. I know their a series and all, but I'm pretty sure Hopoo put out a poll, and most ROR2 players never played ROR1.

I just think there should be no worthless items, which tri-tip daggers or sunglasses become, fast in a god run.

I'd be fine with reaching a cap... but not a permanent cap. Much Sunglasses, once 100% crit is maxed out, you start recieving a chance to crit for 3x the damage? I don't know. I think receiving any item should be good in some way- and not good for printing.
