What is the best character for the 20 stages to unlocking the clover
I already have all the characters unlocked at this point with most items unlocked as well so most anything goes so far the The Long Road achievement.

Furthest I got was area 16 as MUL-T, had the crit gear in the nailgun slot and a prion accumulator in the sniper slot, I also found a sticky bomb printer at the perfect time, printed 20 sticky bombs, managed to get lucky and got some wisps and ukeleles, turning me into a beat for crowd control.
I only died at 16 because I got to the point where bosses were spawning frequently as normal spawns, got 3 vagrants and 2 stone colossi all at once in a corner, and did not survive.

on drizzle of course

Got it with Engi, best advice I got for you after trying at least 20 runs that ended too soon, get movement speed asap (that lets you clear floor faster), find shop on your ways to the portal and try to get fungus, soldier seringe and aoe, try to loot a lot in first and maybe second stage (if you don't have to run around a lot to find chests) and then keep moving, try to get the golden chest in hell, maybe only in your second looping as not a lot of ennemies spawn in the first time around, use any shrine of combat, blood and mountain but I would avoid chance unless you already have too much money and shrine is close to portal at the end.Good luck!

avoid overload worms and gold shrines late game, make sure to get the golden chests.

get as many items, then just blow through teleporters for the rest. take all the portals, except the golden one late game, if you get it early its fine.

aw dang, just found out it's been nerfed, thanks for the advice everyone but I don't really feel like unlocking it now that I know it won't grant the chance of items spawning from dead elites
Nerfed? The item is borderline broken. People don't seem to realize when it says all rolls, it really does mean all rolls. This includes crits, sticky bombs, teddy bears, chance shrines, chests, etc etc. It not only gives you better chances at rare items it also makes any chance based items in your inventory much more powerful, even at a single stack.
It's a much more fun item than in 1.

Logbook says it specifically doesn't include teddy bears. Reports and my experience with prismatics trials and chance shrines suggest that shrines and chests are also not affected, but we'd need a Trial that gives a clover in the first level to really find out.

Still powerful as all get-out though. Just one or two is pretty much infinite Ukulele.

My bad on the teddy bears then.
The chests are hard to figure out without actual gamecode data, but to me it definitely felt like I was getting rares more often; then again it might just be bias, ala "oh look a rare, must be the clover at work".

I think it comes down to whether the contents of chests are set as the level loads or when they're opened. If former, clover can't interact with the item roll, if latter, it should.

Chests can be figured out for sure, and there's two aspects to it. Firstly, when the clover works, it makes a jingle. Secondly, we just need to get one in level 1 of a prismatic trial and see if any chest content changed.

I found commando the easiest. I think he's the easiest to play several levels in (long range with lots of on hits snipes bosses from across the map barely after they spawn on drizzle). Engi scales with him in terms of damage, but if your build doesn't get going fast enough you can end up losing the turrets constantly to certain bosses (like overloading worm), and then you're stuck with grenades.

Commando is also the only class that really deals with worms well, and you're likely to end up fighting an overloading worm.

I just got it with Engineer on Drizzle. High mobility (Goat's Hoof, Wax Quail), lots of Teddy Bears, Ukelele's, and passive missiles (high stack of Atk Missiles and Fireworks). I got the Missile Launcher active item with about 7 fuel cells, so for later bosses I can just melt them (I didn't even have much crit stack either).

In short, no matter who you go with, you want to be able to do as much damage to as many enemies with one attack as possible. So Ukes, explosive wisps, missiles, etc.

I did it on ez mode with the commando. I focused on collecting items for the first levels but still made it a point to get to the bosses quickly. I found a 3d printer and was able to stack about 7 or 8 of the increased attack speed item. Focus on building dmg.

Also - fireworks can help you earn money while you loot. This allows you to speed things up a bit.

Finally. Sometimes it is better to clear the tele and then go pick up some chests afterward.

Saw this after I posted. Renegade nailed it. damage damage damage.

What is "the 20 level"? What is "the clover"? How & where are you getting achievements?
FuturistDreamer Apr 14, 2019 @ 10:20am
I usually find that the Engineer is the way to go for most any level/fight. Monsoon does get a bit crazy pretty fast and can't get past around stage 5. It just scales too quickly, though I'm getting faster at going through the levels.
