A simple suspension feature that deletes your save upon loading up would be divine though.
This type of game isn't supposed to have a save feature. It's an endurance game to see how far you can go. To get the best score in a single try.
Plus, a single run usually takes no more than an hour, so quite frankly I’m fine with no save feature.
It’s a game design choice that the devs obviously wanted for a reason, whether it be to keep you under pressure or simply to say to your friends “how far can you get in one run”
If you’re planning to spend a long time on a run, doing several loops, then you could have already “won” a long time ago and doing extra is your choice.
there you go. mods can solve everything. it even has multiplayer support
How far you can go could be determined by real life time yes. So if you can only go a couple hours, that's your max.
You don't need to play for hours on end on Monsoon to reach that point.
