Does Acrid get leech seed life from poison?

Leech seed and scythe and most other attack boosting effects only proc on the hit. So firing the poison at an enemy, the first hit will leech, but the dot will not. Firing his epidemic would get a leech from the first hit and from each chain hit, but no life from the poison or plague left on the enemies.

The first hit scales with stuff, but the poison DoT only scales with % damage increases... in specific circumstances.
I'd just go for stuff that helps you finish off weakened targets and survive. Don't bother trying to buff the damage output unless it's cooldown.
