do monster logs show with the radar Scanner?

No. Radar Scanner only picks up items, shrines, drones, and the Teleporter.

It's worth noting that it also doesn't pick up Monster Teeth health drops.

so im going completely blind in my search for the overloading magma worm , huh

There might be issues with the worms sometimes dumping loot in an unreachable spot, but usually it's just a matter of trying again, just like with any other monster and their log.
