More challenging.
Having to get lucky with what drops and having to actually find the chests and loot are two of the biggest parts of the base game. Command and sacrifice are the truly all player sided parts of the artifacts. All the other artifacts sort of have major drawbacks to counter their good feature or are just simply added challenge.
Well, yes and no. Command is obviously as close to strictly beneficial as it gets, but Sacrifice is unreliable early game and my experience with it is you may get more Greens than normal, but a weird lack of Whites and fewer Reds than average than you get by opening Large Chests in normal runs. Obviously it can RANDOMLY be BETTER, too, and it's a crazy increase of items when looping on Monsoon, but I think if you're just trying to obliterate, it's whatever.
I still think vanilla chest-hunting is more interesting to spectate, for what it's worth, I just think Sacrifice is not an Easy Fun Mode item like Command is.
Yeah, for sure, I am working on increasing the difficulty more and more as I go.
Eventually I wanna do a 2 player run with all but Sacrifice and Command.
But I had to get my practice in this way before I truly figured out how to dodge wisps and other attacks properly. There were still a lot of spots in the run where I got lucky with the topaz brooch healing me up after a big hit that could have left me dead by fire or just other spots where I noticed I could have performed better, but overall I am happy with my improvement thus far.
