So how nasty is vengeance.
on paper, artifact of vengeance seems like the most potentially difficult artifact to deal with. but I haven't seen much discussion of it yet,

The first and only time I went to try it as Mul-T during a command run. I used the first key....

....and Died instantly. I didn't even get to see the bastard spawn before I died. That's what i get for having a Nhukahana's build....

Pretty nasty. Inherits all your items. They seems to have a lot more health but less base damage.

It can get really hectic, especially having razor wire and both the clone and you keep bouncing the needles back and forth.

it's not really bad at all to go against unless you have a n'kuhana's or a ton of defense items

Yeah, my dumbass did it as Mul-T with four infusions, a N'kuhana's, and 3 rejuve racks....I never stood a chance....

For the most part, your clones are absolute tanks but they can't do very much to you. I've only managed to die to my clone two times, once was because I got destroyed from 6 Death Mark + 17 Runald's Band on a Rebar Puncher, and the second was because of a N'Kuhana's.

If their N'Kuhana's Opinion goes off, it's game over.

I didn't notice the clone spawn, at that point in my run I was essentially unstoppable and playing as merc. To be fair, it was an amazing run and I got 9 of the relics in one go.

I'm on my 7th attempt at unlocking it, it's mostly the awkward stage that's a problem though it also means the umbra clone can fall off as well and they don't respawn because they aren't players.

They are nasty but they can't really make much use of CC items like ukulele and will o' the wisp or even brainstalks so that's an advantage you have over them. I think armor-piercing rounds might also be a good one-sided item.

What I'm wondering is if they can be executed with guillotines because players are immune to execution so I'm wondering if the umbras inherit this as well or not.

its not that bad unless you are/have an engineer with 6+ fungus
you cant kill the turrets, and if the engi gets in the ring he heals super fast
but even then, you can just take the tp, they dont do a lot of damage

Tried it Enginner with 60 or so Bears.
Died, revived with Dio and died again wondering how the hell I died.

I guess I understand a little better how the enemies feel getting oneshotted lmao.

it's basically a copy of you, with much higher base HP and much lower base damage, presumably both of which scale with difficulty. certain item combos on them are scary, things you can't dodge and things that heal based on max HP are particularly rough on them. they have your active item as well, so gesture builds should be used carefully. on-kill items like will of the wisp help a lot since they don't kill many targets, and if you have enough of them the area of effect will hit them and hurt them greatly.
