No teleporter
Traveled the map several times, sometimes climbing areas you're not supposed to to get a better view. After spending 20 minutes searching the entirety of the map I could not find the teleporter.

What map

Look for floating red particles and a faint sound playing. Both are indicators of teleporters. The particles can show you a general location from far away, and the sound will tell you that its nearby even if you can't see it or the particles.

I'm pretty sure the environment was Distant Roost, and there were no particles or sounds. It was me and a friend in the map, and we both spent a long time just looking for a teleporter.

It was probably on the lower part of the island across the bridge.

It amazes me how many people don't know about that platform, or even check over ledges. This is a platforming staple of where you'd find hidden items, hidden paths, or even trying to find those last few collectables.

Yeah but it is a bit hard to see if you're not familiar with that kind of stuff. I'm definitely not a fan of platformers, so my first time finding that spot wasn't very intuitive.

They have shuffled up the teleporter spawn, but with what they build, it can't spawn outside of where you can get to it. It is on the map somewhere, but it can be tough. It can also be almost half buried in a wall which does make it tougher to notice.

Distant Roost is kind of popular for this issue, I swear I see a thread about it all the time.

Like was already said, theres a sort of obscure part of the island across the bridge you have to look down to find.

I would definitely say its not an easy to find spot.

It amazes me that people just assume I'm not doing due diligence and checking the entire map before commenting about an issue. I scoured the ENTIRE map, to include the lower part of the island across the bridge, and so did my friend. But hey, it's easier to blame someone else than to make an effort to find a solution. Good times.

I don't know when they "shuffled up the teleporter spawns" but I wasn't the only person to have similar issues when I posted this. I know that teleporter spawns are based on random preset possible locations, but in the case of this play-through, it wasn't in any of the places that it was listed it could be (based on some online guides we found after the fact).

I've played since and haven't had the issue crop up again, so I'll assume it's either been fixed, or it's a random and really rare issue.

Nothing has changed since you posted this. It IS possible that the teleporter didn't spawn due to a bug, but it's more likely that you just didn't check an area you thought you had checked. That's why everyone assumes you didn't.

So everyone assumes, despite stated information to the contrary, that I either didn't spend enough time looking (20 minutes, one map, two people, so about 40 minutes of total looking on maps that aren't super big), didn't understand the map layout (I looked up layout during the map exploration, and then after to verify that all the possible spots weren't presenting an actual teleporter, or at least one visible), or I just don't understand how games (or this game) work despite me playing, and enjoying, a lot of the game?

Excuse me if I think it's rude to assume stupidity or laziness as the first cause of an issue, especially when reading the very first comment might have given a clue as to the effort someone put in.

Also, there was a patch released on the 21st of April. Although nothing was mentioned about the teleporter spawning needing a fix, please do some research before making a comment.

The reason people are assuming not doing "due diligence" is because this is always the issue. It is there, you just miss it.
Its not a personal attack, sometimes you just end up missing it. I will guarantee a teleporter existed. But regardless, what does arguing here get you?

A chance to live in a world of denial where he wasnt wrong.

An opportunity to maybe, just maybe, get others to take the time to think about what they're saying, ask themselves if they gave the person a fair chance to say what they did and didn't do, and the possibility that I can teach others that jumping to conclusions without all the data is an asinine thing to do.

Denial requires that the person making the statements be in the wrong. So yes, I've given everyone in here an opportunity to roll around in the denial they're so apt to fling accusations at others for.

Do I think anyone in this thread will take anything other than their superiority and greatness out of it? No, not judging by the replies and the other denials.

The teleporter probably DID exist, I wasn't trying to outright deny it's existence. The only issue I ran in to was that the teleporter could not be found. When I said NO teleporter, I meant I could not find it because it was not located in a spot that was accessible. You can move the goal posts, accuse others of lying, saying that I wasn't a good enough gamer, or even say I didn't search hard enough when I clearly opened the discussion saying I did. That doesn't make any of your argument's RIGHT.

So, go about your day in the knowledge that your denial has proven you right, and you are clearly the superior and better person.

Or, take the time to think about how: The wording in the "answers" could improve, the "effort" the people here tried to put in to get more information was little more than surface level info before stating "You're wrong", and maybe, just maybe, human decency goes farther than just "I'm not going to bother beyond a cursory glance before quickly dismissing the question."

One final addendum: "this is always the issue" is a broad, sweeping accusation. Do you personally know everyone that's made this mistake? Do you read every thread that gets posted about this issue? Have you spoken to everyone who's had a similar issue (some people have had the issue on other maps)? If you haven't, please do not use an absolute statement like this as it makes you look a bit arrogant.

Well, Probably should just end this here, since it's hard to drill manners in to the skulls of neanderthals.
