item recycler not working

I can't get it to work. I open box, item pops out that I don't want. Look at item and the recycle icon is around the item. I press the equipment button, the item recycler button, and the only thing that happens is the recycler goes on cooldown. item remains the same.

The Recycler right now is kinda wonky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Often it transforms the item you selected into the same item, and you can also activate it with invalid targets. It's supposedly going to be fixed in the next patch.

You need to make sure it has the icon displaying "Q" around the item for it to trigger. As long as you do that, it seems to work every time.

Yea I said that in my original post, and it definitely don't work every time.

i have the same problem to fix that i look at the item then away look at the item again then away look at the item again then press Q. it might have to do that the game doesn't register that you want to recycle the item.
this does not work all the time but makes it hapen way less for me

Yea I said that in my original post, and it definitely don't work every time.

If the item is highlighted, it will work. If the item is not highlighted, then it just throws it on CD.

There's a chance right now that Recycler may recycle an item into itself, practically making the usage of it useless, the Devs have talked about this in their latest Developer notes, and they plan on fixing it so that it can't re-roll into itself anymore.

i mean, alls fair right? it is turning it into another item, it just happens to be identicle to the last xD.

but yeah we noticed having fuel cells seem to bork it sometimes.

My all purpose fix was not standing next to it. It mostly only bugs when you stand close to it. the futher you are away while using the recycler the more you are likely to reroll it.

Sadly does not prevent it from rolling into the same item.

So. Just an Update. The last game I played i was able to get it working. Honestly, I think it's buggy af at the moment.
