Artifact trials take too long?

Is it just me, or trials just take forever? It's quite often I find myself twiddlng my thumbs waiting for enemies to spawn, only for them to not give me a key. Even with the swarm artifact, I often sit there for minutes having only one or two enemies spawn every 20 seconds, and nothing else happens.

Did I miss something? Is there a particular way to make keys drop faster?

Depends on difficulty, on drizzle they take an eternity to spawn while on rainstorm it's acceptable

No way. Gotta wait for the global timer to tick and give the director a bunch of credits to play with and spawn a new wave.

That's the weird part though. I've gone in there on all 3 difficulties at varies points from Impossible to HAHAHAHA and the spawning seems very random.

Sometimes on Drizzle I'll have a steady flow of spawns, but other times on Monsoon, I'll be waiting around up to a minute for the next spawn wave.
