Unlocking Artifact of Chaos

I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with a good strategy for this one.

So far I've chosen Huntress, on Drizzle with Command, Swarm, Sacrifice, and Kin activated, and I've avoided picking up any drones or choosing any items that explode or affect other enemies, like Ukulele. All other items are health or shield building, like Aegis. Basically going for single-target rapid fire crit with high defense, and I don't use the Glaive during the trial.

Despite this I seem to somehow kill myself just standing near a wall and firing, as if my own arrows had some small inherent splash damage. Cause of death is listed as myself. What is happening?

Sorry if im not answering your question, but if the pattern to enter the artefact place is the same as one i already completed, then when i enter the effect of it is the same of one i have. What happens? Should i just die?

I did just unlock it by playing very conservatively (no Glass, for one thing) and I left out that I was using Huntress' new three-shot primary, this time I used her original primary. I wasn't worried about completing Chaos, I was just puzzled about what was killing me.

There's a bug with Huntress's targeting crosshair sometimes targeting herself. I'm willing to bet that's what happened.

I think you've got it - I tried playing her with Chaos and managed to hit myself a few times with M1.
