Maximum attack speed?
I had 27 syringes (405% attack speed) and I feel like that was overkill, but does anyone know what the maximum attack speed in the game is? I assume at some point the syringes I had were doing nothing.

I don't really know. In the original the animation speed would cap out at around 10-ish syringes, but the speed of the attacks would continue to increase. I think it might be the same here.

32,212,254,705% from 2,147,483,647 syringes alone.

Most items cap at the 32 bit integer before resetting back to 1 (and effectively behaving like a single item stack).

27 Syringes doesn't mean you have 405% Attack Speed, I'm not sure what type of math they use, but it's never a full on additive % to anything, the teddy bear for instance, it's never 15% chance on 15% chance, it's 15%, then that halved, and it gets halved for each stack, so you'd need around 100+ teddy bears to get even 90%.

Interesting. Makes me kinda sad it's not additive so I can try to make OP builds.

Ahhhh and here I was hoping I was close to a cap or something. My hopes are crushed once again.

Learn about different scaling types: logarythmic, linear and multiplicative. Teddies have logarythmic scaling and syringes scale linearly.

Ahh, so it does add the %? I remember it was a topic fight amongst my friends, wasn't quite sure what it was. Thanks for the info, and the correct terms. :)

so syringes effect both auto attack speed and your abilities attack speed.

syringes give 15% or 0.15 atk speed per stack.

Every character gets a base attack speed of 1.0.

each characters have a different attack speed for each of their abilities. but lets just talk about auto attacks to avoid going down a rabbithole mentally.

in order to get 1.0 as a whole, you will need 7 syringes. Then you will have a whole 2.0x toward your total attack speed. Every 7 syringes you get will give you an additional 1.0 as a whole number.

Attack speed seems to be logarithmic, where you are given diminishing returns after a set amount. So, at some point your attack speed will plateau. Meaning you will no longer get 0.15 attack speed but maybe half. So, 0.075.

Im not entirely sure because I havent tested this idea. But the cap for attack speed is 66 attacks per second. If I knew how many attacks occur each item/level per second, then it may be easier to know what the cap is. But that would take someone to monitor the auto attacks each second. Using frames etc. (dont nobody got time for that lol)

I may not be 100% right in my calculations because there are alot of stipulations. Like damage fall off. But your auto attacks will differ from the cap of your abilities.

So, I would say increments of 7 is your best bet, if you want to see change in your auto attacks.

I hope I am accurate enough, explained it well for everyone to understand!

not true.
27 syringes will give you 505% attack speed. (you start with 100%)

teddy bear effectiveness is not halved for each stack. if it was, you wouldn't get anywhere near 90%. instead, it's calculated so that your chance of blocking can be found by the equation 1-(100 / (100 + 15x) ), where X is the number of teddy bears. This does mean that the first bear only really gives 13%, but you still get way more block than you claim. 90% chance is at around 60 bears.
