This is incorrect you can kill the boss charge the teleporter up to 98% kill everything and while everything is resetting to spawn back in, step back into the teleport zone and finish charging it.

he is not wrong. his way is actually the safest way to unlock it. killing the boss lets more adds spawn, giving the game a higher chance of ruining the unlock chance for that map(and possibly the run if ur past stage 2) so leaving the boss alive last is actually the best way. dont be dumb tho, you gotta lower the boss hp before you leave it alone to kill adds.

pro tip. get a Prion accumulator. when the boss is at 25-30% hp, go kill the adds then fire a shot from the equipment to finish the boss instantly before adds spawn.
