About Artifact of Command
What are your thoughts about it?

For anyone who hasn't done a run with it or unlocked it yet, basically it allows u to choose from the items you've unlocked via the Achievements and if you've already picked it up before, that's the only downside though. Anything from a normal/large chest, an equipment chest, boss loot, void loot, chance shrine, and even the Lunar items
There's no limit to it either, you could stack 100% critical before even finishing your first loop and decide to stack away at 50 syringes/crowbars/focus crystals afterwards for the hell of it

I personally think this already needs a nerf/major drawback like Glass, it's basically cheat code the artifact. The only RNG you ever have to worry about is if the game decides to throw you 20 Malachite enemies your way or something. The one upside to it though is seeing how well other items synergize with one another or survivors

Artifact of Command was and is my favourite. And while I agree that it's very strong I always loved it for that. Sure it allows you to have insane runs, but for me that's what RoR has always been about, the difficulty scales infinitely and so does your power. I don't think the artifact is quite as simple as enabling cheats to never die, because you still need to understand the game and balance your items. Too much damage and you can't survive. Too much healing and you can't kill anything. Also as others have said it can help you unlock items that would be hard to unlock otherwise.

I hope they don't nerf it. Make it harder to get maybe, but hopefully not nerfing.

Choose fast if you're grabbing it while in the middle of a fight. Just like how it worked in the first game, except this time around there's a "cancel" button.

75% of public games have command on before everyone is ready. Artifacts have ruined pug multiplayer imo.

yeah I pretty much called quickplay being untouchable for me for awhile. They're gonna need searching parameters *before* you get in the match.

Give it a few weeks and things will die down on the Artifact spam. They're fresh new toys and it's a sign the community is enjoying them.

actually you can stack shaped glass while having artifact of glass on, it's really really powerful but of course you die in one hit

It's pretty strong, so long as you know what items to get. I feel like it's kinda cheaty and I'm personally gonna just use it to test stupid builds.

Shaped Glass is actually better than the Glass Artifact in terms of health lost versus damage gained.

With the artifact Glass, your health is cut by 10 times, and your damage is multiplied by 5 times. That's a ratio of 2:1 for health lost versus damage gained.

With Shaped Glass, your health is divided by 2, and damage is multiplied by 2. For a ratio of 1:1.

By the time you reach 10% health via Shaped Glass (between 3-4 stacks), your damage is FAR beyond a mere 500%. With 3 stacks (12.5% HP), your damage is at 800%. With 4 stacks (6.25% HP), your damage is a whopping 1600%.

The only upside of using the Glass Artifact is that you don't have to spend Lunar Coins to up your damage. But saying that it's useful because "it stacks with Shaped Glass" is wrong, because simply stacking Shaped Glass on its own will get you far better results. Having the artifact on is basically just giving yourself 1 more Shaped Glass than usual, but its like a sucky version of Shaped Glass that has a worse damage-to-health ratio. You're better off keeping the artifact turned off and just stacking more Shaped Glass.

The only reason it exists is because the devs promised every Artifact from the first game would come back unchanged. Besides saving you Lunar coins, it really doesn't have a purpose. And most people by this point have just edited their Lunar Coins in a text file to have an endless supply anyways.

Yep this artifact has definitely ruined Quick Play games. Every game I join has this artifact enabled and it feels like cheating. Wish I would've known about this before I bought the game... I spent 1 hour in single player mode so I can't even return the game. =/

Devs consider allowing this artifact only in private games. It doesn't belong in Quick Play where people should be aloud to experience the game like it was meant to be played. I feel bad for all the new players who have to experience the game like this.

the game is meant to be played in single player mainly wtf are you talking about

I like Command by itself. Just finished probably the most fun run I've ever had because I got to make my build work how I wanted it to. However, I hate it when combined with the artifact that makes enemies drop items and eliminates chests... and I've gotten that combo a lot in QP. That isn't fun to me.

Whether it can be used for unlock or not is debatable, but otherwise, it's basically MEANT to be a cheat, artifacts are meant to be silly modifiers, not a new balanced gamemode. Should stay as it is.

Yeah, artifacts have always been unbalanced because they are meant to be fun optionals you add in to have fun.

Command and Glass were my must picks in RoR1, Glass is a bit harder now as some enemies never/rarely miss, which can be troubling on start of the run. Don't ruin it for us by asking for a nerf, developers said it as well, artifacts are supposed to be different, if you don't want to use it then don't.

i really dont like it... the game is designed around rng and its 90% of the fun.. i mean the artifacts are modifier for some spiced up runs and dumb runs.... but beeing able to unlock the achievments with it is something i do not like... i dont like to play with "command", because it feels lifeless, but playing without it makes me feel like i waste my time, because i could unlock every achievment in basicly one run with it enabled

soldier through playing without it then, overcome your mental issues.

Seems like only people who never heard of Risk of Rain before the 2nd game don't know what it is for and feel like it's not supposed to be here. lol
