Is it safe to disconnect after you die in a multiplayer game?
Does it in some way prejudice the remaining people? I'm wondering if it's ok to disconnect as soon as I die if reaching the next stage soon seems unlikely. 1) I'm really not enjoying the wait and 2) I feel much weaker than my teammates upon reviving, anyway.

Does the game rescales its difficulty to however many party members remain in the server? Or does a server that starts with 4 players (for example) remain at 4-player difficulty regardless of how many disconnected?

I never played RoR1, so I'm not sure what the polite thing to do is.

If anything, players leaving mid run just means more loot for the other individuals, leaning towards them actually out scaling the difficulty faster usually. Obviously all depends on the rng of the loot still, but no, you shouldn't feel bad leaving mid run if you're not enjoying yourself.

RoR1 didn't have matchmaking function, it just p2p game in MP which you need to know the host IP first

as for scale, AFAIK nope, it's just like that but perhaps the amount of chest / mobs will increase a bit depending the player (don't know about the truth tho)

as for the DC or not, i just left it to your judge, but since there is no host migration and i think the host selection in quickplay is randomly, it's better for you not to dc'ed if you die (just in case your the selected ones as host, then everyone will be dc'ed too)
