Multiplayer loot system ruins the fun.
every time i play with a random host, there is always one or two players taking everything they can get their greedy fingers on.

by contrast when i play with friends we always try to balance out the loot evenly.

the loot system is the biggest draw back to the multiplayer experience.
loot is necessary to progress and build out your character to be able to survive later on, like electric magma worm later on.
its not do-able when you got one or two players getting fat eating all of the drops.

it's even down right insulting when one player takes more than 1 item from boss kills.

perhaps a system where all players are granted the same item when one player picks up an item, or a system where loot only spawns client side.

The Shared Loot mod is a beautiful thing, it needs to be fully implemented into the game itself, they could make it an option you turn on and off, depending on if you want to play with it or not.
It's better off as a mod, otherwise people will mistake it as the way the game is meant to be played, much like how the easy slowdown mod for sekiro isn't included in the base game.

You sound a bit greedy wanting all the items, however there is nothing wrong with that. If you feel entitled to a certain item make sure to ping it first then type in chat "I'll have this one, thanks."

I Find that im better then majority of players online and the item is better used on a better play like myself

only issue i have had wit this is boss drops, but again if you end up soloing a x2 shrine of the moutain you kinda deserve all the boss drops. i have only had the issue in maybe 2 out of 20 games so far so its not really a big deal and most people know that certain characters need certain items; like engie needing fungus. if anything get a group together and keep plaything with them and not use quickplay.

i dont think the everyone getting all the items is really a solution, since it just turns everyone into a monster and the game goes on for far too long OR someone could screw the group with picking up some of the lunar items

Alternate suggestion to a "shared loot" system that would keep everyone from being overpowered: simply allow each player to purchase from a chest once. Dunno if the chests should have the same items each time or have them random per use, but it'd give everyone a chance without needing to scale # of chests per player or anything.

so scale down how many chests to solo but everyone can buy once from each chest. that could work, it might be a bit weird since ror1 didnt do it that way and ror2 hasnt yet. but its early access so now is the time to iron it out

sounds more like a human problem than a game problem. Get some friends or join a discord for teams in voice

I agree. The current loot systems works in private games with friends but there are just so many players out their who just don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the coop part of the game. I don't even understand why they play in public matches with that attitude but they do a lot more often then I expected. It only takes one complete greedy moron to ruin an entire run for other people and that is just bad game design.

easy solution is whoever opens chest gets to only pick up the item but if you dont want it then instead of pressing e on it press another key say 'f' for example to allow everyone else to pick it up. Simple

Yeah, greedy solo-players kill the vibe of co-op multi-playing.

if u cant get loot by ur own means then its because ur a weak player. u dont deserve the items, and item funneling to 2 players out of 4 in a game is how u win most of the time, nobody is strong when all items are shared equally

Even when playing with friends i want shared loot. I think its not fun to constantly adapt to pace and RNG. I feel more powerful when i play alone. I am totally for shared loot. Besides that i think the loot system is annoying to search the entire map before you can enter the portal. I think it was ok at first but it is getting annoying for me now (the replayability drops for me). Its like searching for easter eggs all the time.

Watched someone pick up all 3 boss items and wondered. ♥♥♥♥ face or honestly not understanding how the loot works. At least boss items need some other system. Players have to mark as unwanted for it to be picked up by another.

I'd also love a mode where all loot is shared. That would be awesome insanity.

Yeah I cba to play multi player with randoms because of this. Honestly its not even fun when you are playing a slower running a character and then the sentinel in the team literally steals the items from teh chest you just opened. They dont lose gold, you do, and now your left with less items. It's not fun.
