Disable Controller Support?
Whenever I'm in-game, my aiming is forced downward even though I have nothing connected (I've restarted Steam once already). Changing the controller sensitivity helps, but It doesn't solve the problem. Is there anyway to fix this?

I get this too. However I have a HOTAS (Flight stick) plugged in and have to disable it every time I want to play Risk of Rain 2. Even if you don't have a regular controller it may be reading that.

For some reason the game is reading inputs from one of its many analog axis inputs and it makes my game mouse in the HUD drift all over the place and the view in game.

I use a Gamecube controller with a 3rd party driver. However, the game still inputs a non-existent analog stick even when the driver is off and the controller is completely disconnected.

Don't know if this is still a problem, but somebody might come across this. On the FAQ for Risk of Rain 2, it mentioned if you have a HOTAS or gamecube controller (vJoy) you must disable these otherwise the view will always look downwards.

To disable it, go to Device Manager, then under Human Interface Devices, right click on vJoy device and click disable.

I know this is an older post, but in-case someone googles this like me and didn't find a solution yet, there's an app called "HidHide" that hides all controllers from being detected by games unless you explicitly select the games you want your controllers to be used on.

It's really easy to set up.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
