What are your most hated items?
I was wondering what you guy's (and girl's) least favorite or most hated items are? What do you hate to see on your runs? I will read every reply so rant away.

For me they go like this:

Rusted Key.
I wish that I had never unlocked this damned thing. Why do I need 6 of them again? Why are the contents of the stash always junk? Why is the stash so hard to find? They're never worth having and when you're staring at a stack of ten of them and you have gotten nothing that actually helps you kill the enemy you will curse whoever thought this item was a good idea. What? I'm sure they'll pay off after I find the stash in the next TEN maps. Having them in your game is like an infection. I'm considering looking into seeing if I can edit my ini files to make them go away.

War Banner/Fireworks
I like these both okay, but I'd rather have something less situational. The fireworks are festive and fun at least but they only do anything when there's a chest to open or a shrine to interact with. As for the War Banner, after the artillery crabs start showing up staying in the space of the banner is a bad idea. The banner might increase my fire rate 30% in the zone, but a syringe would increase my fire rate 15% all the time. Even when I'm jumping away backwards from a horde of hungry Elder Lemurians. And you'll start leveling up so rarely late in the game that you may as well not even have the darned things.

Wake of Vultures
My last two games in a row this damned thing spawned twice. Another item I just want gone from the game it is an absolute waste of a rare slot. The way it implements shields is a travesty that just takes half your life from you every time it activates leaving you open to getting one-shot. This thing is a white elephant if ever I saw one and you actively have to avoid it every time it drops. It should add 50 percent of your life on top of your life as shields, NOT TAKE 50% of your life and then not give it back when the effect wears off. I have nothing nice to say about whoever thought this thing was ready for launch.

Frost Relic
It slows you down. WHY DOES IT SLOW YOU DOWN SO MUCH? Another waste of an item, the radius is laughably small, it does pathetic damage that doesn't make up for being that close to enemies and it turns you into a sitting duck. I thought this might be alright on the mercenary but NOPE, I just got hit a lot more.

What do you guys think? Do you love the items I hate or is there an item you hate to see that I missed. Please, feel free to let me know.

I also don't like a lot the Crowbar: 90% health is too high and the boost isn't really useful, but I guess it can be good with an high stack and something like Royal Capacitor.

Berserker Pauldron is kind of hard to proc sometimes and stacking them isn't really worth going out of your way for, but when it triggers the effect is great

I really hate Armor Piercing rounds, like they are a good item in theory, but I'd enjoy having them more if they increased damage to "boss type", enemies later on too.

I hate they only do bonus damage to the teleporter boss. I thought it was one of the best items at first, but now it seems really weak.

I like how no one mentions how completely worthless the crowbar is. To only do extra damage for the first 10% hp of a target is not useful against high HP targets. Even with 40 crowbars you only do like 1300% damage for shots to targets over 90% hp. Get yourself 5 will o the wisp and you'd do significantly more damage by killing any of the small targets near by. The first like 5 crowbars might be useful but anything afterwards is completely useless when you could use any on hit or kill item. Get 100% bleed chance and you'll have massively more dps than you would stacking crowbars. Thats only 7 daggers. I think the crowbar is probably the worst item in the game along with leeching seed. 1 hp per hit is completely useless unless you stack a lot of them.

Crowbar synergizes well with Nano Bomb and Mul-t's rebar gun. For the investment of one white item, they'll be doing an extra 50% damage which is often enough to 1 shot a lot of non elite enemies. Even on enemies it doesn't 1 shot it's a nice chunk of extra damage.

Stacking them is less worthwhile since it's only 30% extra damage per stack rather than the 50% you get from one Crowbar.

Crowbar it kind of depends on the character. It typically reduces the number of hits required to kill an enemy by one for non-rapid fire character. So its a huge boon for huntress but not so great for commando or nailgun focus multi. Also a big deal for merc as once you get deep enough requiring multiple dashes to kill a wisp is cancerous.

Just wait until Sniper makes it into the game.

Sticky Bomb. I just always feel like I got the worst item whenever it pops up.

Sticky bombs are fairly lackluster if you have only a few, but they scale very quickly if you can manage to stack them up high enough. Both their proc chance and damage scales with additional stacks, so they have almost like an exponential increase in performance.

IF you manage to get something silly like 20 sticky bombs, that's 52% proc chance, and >2500% damage per proc.

Medkit. I don't know if it works exactly like it did in the first game but if so it's 200% useless, I would like to be convinced otherwise but it seems just negligible at best.

WHERE DID MY MONEY GO!!!!!

I can’t hear you over having ALL THE MONEY.

If you’re losing money you should take it as a sign of not doing too good. Don’t get hit.

i've had 38 fireworks once from 3d printer. i never did any fighting after that. all i had to do is open stuff i get monies to open more stuff. seeing the stage boss die from fireworks was glorious.

Probably the money gatling gun and the key.

Celebratory rockets, or whatever it's called. I've though about restarting just so I didn't have it in the item pool.

The Crowdfunder originally still shot when your gold reached zero, but not anymore , and I found it an excellent weapon for late game Mul-T vs boss while waiting for the other item to recharge. I like Crowdfunder + Ocular HUD.

Crowdfunder is good when you plan on teleporting out after the boss is defeated.
