It could use some tweaks to add randomized areas, but not every map needs to be huge.
What I DO despise is Wetlands. Garbage map all around.
I think it's fine for a first level, in the sense that you're likely to start on it. Do they all need to be massive?
But there is room to expand it, the devs could add more area via caves in basically any direction, and they probably will once they add level 1 secrets to find.
Red abyss sometimes has an annoying (and empty) tunnel, and some odd passages under the rocks, but is otherwise quite reasonable.
The Wetlands is easy to lose your bearings in, as the unique features aren't quite as obvious. It also has some closed off areas on some variants of the map, which are annoying (And the teleporter is often in one of them)
The caves along one edge of The Outpost are a bit annoying, but they're short enough that it's not bad.
