I really want to know full lore of this boss. Even if the game is in early access, is it possible for players to get much more plot in future updates? Would be nice to understand what happened after RoR1 and who really is Providence

All I want - to know more about him: lores, notes, sculptures, something like that. Like origin of this boss. I want to know his purposes. But btw, it would be cool to see his again as reincarnation

He us briefly mentioned in the predatory instincts item in what is a reference I think to the first game. 18 pairs of unblinking eyes being the player character with like 18 lensmakers. Who knows though.

Providence dead? How do we even know this tho? For all we know risk of rain 2 is a reimagining of risk of rain 1s plot. Unless the devs have confirmed otherwise.

If providence was dead it'd mean we already left the planet. And this seems like its still the same planet considering it has the same fauna.

That's why I want more plot in future updates. I dont know when and where the action takes place, dont know what happened with Providence and survivors

I loved providence and would like to see/hear more about him. He might not have had much more lore than just being a nod to HP Lovecraft though.

Can you help me to find link where I can read about it please? I dont know where they wrote it. But still, even if Providence is dead - his story is not finished. We dont know who was he, why he did what he did and etc

Devs just said "hes ded" literally, no more words, but is a fact you can ask devs about the lore of his games and they will respond you.

Devs just said "hes ded" literally, no more words, but is a fact you can ask devs about the lore of his games and they will respond you.
I just did a quick ctrl+f search and I got nothing about Providence being dead. The closest thing was them responding "rip" to fanart of him. Maybe that is them saying he is dead for good, or maybe it was in relation to the first game. I could've just missed it I suppose, but for the moment the hope lives on.

Edit: Scratch that, just went to the very end and the ctrl+f found it. You right, but they also said they are going to flesh out his story.

"We’re aiming for the story of the individual still to take a back seat (and for a majority of the world-building to take place outside of the run), but we’re hoping to explore the lore of the planet, Providence, and the different races there"
