MUL-T is just overpowered by a landslide, and getting multiple fungus with engineer and having those permanent self healing turrets is pretty op
I did a full 4 man team of 2 engi, one MUL-T, and one merc for attracting aggro and we completely dominated
Also if you manage to stack increased attack speed and crit chance.....
the nalahal horn item + some form of heal on damage or bustling fungus = skulls that attack everything, add a cerimonial dagger to extend this reach.
the Afterburner red item is also good as you can pretty much redeploy your bubble shield and never have it on cooldown. can only have 1 up per character at a time though.
Alien head is GREAT on artificer along with extra mags, since she is reliant on how many uses she has for her primary attack as well these items if found, should be reserved for anyone in the group playing artificer, Huntress, or merc, it benefits them greatly. engineer should never pick up spare mag, yeah you can toss mines and spam more than 10 of em but, you cans till only have 10 at a time.
if you've already got a really high attack rate boost, Proc on hit items work well on MUL-T, otherwise he has a 60% reduction on proc chance for nail gun. making it pointless to get those early unless your playing the long range game with em.
fun item combo for MUL-T, Black hole, Preon accumulator or Royal, and lots of fuel cells. MUL-T easily benefit most from each fuel cell. if you get a shrine of the mountain to drop 8 of em and have a mult in the group, if he is good at it, let him grab all of em and the best in damage equipment. theres also ocular hud but its a exploit crutch that'll be fixed sometime soon so dont rely on it.
Artificer and engineer lack 1 thing, mobility... so anything that can boost their mobility early on helps keep them relevant to the group.
and thats just a blurb of some of the fun stuff i've encountered.
I assume going as slow as possible and looting everything is the way to go in a 4 player match then?
When I've played in my private 4man groups, I think it's essential/nice to have at least one Engineer to set up and help keep your squad from getting overwhelmed with a safe spot to hide when bubble is up, MUL-T as mentioned above is amazing in parties with his M2 especially having a ton of additional utility in multiplayer. When we played, we did the first stage slowly until we got about 3-4 items on everyone (distributing items to appropriate classes, so bustling fungus to engi and so on) and did the same on the second level to get everyone to about 7 items, and then we basically just started bulldozing it as by that point we had quite a few on-death items. I think Will o Wisp is maybe the most broken item in the game as stacking it increases the damage AND the radius of the explosion iirc - I 3D printed 7 of them on a merc and could assassinate one enemy and basically kill anything even remotely nearby with the explosions (gasoline with this basically ensures everything dies, it was actually really satisfying).
equip a royal capacitor and acquire preferably at least one soulbound catalyst and then at least 3 gesture of the drowned.
and if you get some fuel cells and it can refresh quickly enough, it's like a machine gun of death at massive range.
