I mentioned this to other people but try to locate the game location file and try to copy the save file. If it tries messing up just drag back the save file.

Disk/ Program files (x86)/ Steam / userdata/ Numbers (should be top one ur steam id) / 632360 / remote / userprofiles.

now open the XML file with notepad scroll to the very bottom and you will see a section for unlocks just add these lines for the ones you don't have and save.

<unlock>Characters.Engineer</unlock>
<unlock>Characters.Mercenary</unlock>
<unlock>Characters.Mage</unlock>
<unlock>Characters.Toolbot</unlock>

did you rebooted your steam or pc before you lost your progress? check if you have Steam Cloud Syncronization enabled. if you already created a new profile in the game. your progress is not lost. you gonna have to go to the xml files location, copy the content of the xml file that have your data (look for it by the date, probably the older) and paste it in the newest.

Confirmed to work. Make sure game is closed first.

Disk/ Program files (x86)/ Steam / userdata/ Numbers (should be top one ur steam id) / 632360 / remote / userprofiles.
Copy paste and it all came back!

Have you tried verifying the game cache? I've heard this has worked before loss of progress, so perhaps there too?

I tried it all, always get Corrupted Profile. Can someone maybe post their Profile file in here?
