Progression?
I just played a round and I love the game. But I'm wondering how progression works in this game? Do you start from scratch every time you die and start a new "round" ?

You don't ever get to keep any levels or items? Or did I miss something.

its like dota kinda, you build your character with items. Each new game is new build. You unlock characters, enemies and items the more you play.

Aw that's a bummer. I like progressing and making my character stronger and stronger the more I play.

Thanks for answering my question though.

sadly that's not how it's work in here, since this game is revolving around rogue-like games
so its always comes with RNG + restart progress everytime :bite:

it's quite addictive tho, even you always lose the progress

Hello, the progression is like Rogue Legacy or something like that ? I Liked Rogue Legacy, I'm not a good fan of these Rogue-Like in general, for a example I don't like games likes Dead Cells.

How do you progress in Risk of Rain 2 exactly ?

I'm wondering about this too
The game seems to be completely lacking any kind of progression sadly

Or I don't understand it yet
Just completed a game and survived for over one hour
Back into the menu I got basically nothing new

You should have gotten achievements, achievements in Risk of Rain bring unlocks with them, a new item that can drop from the pool. The progression is to see how long you can lost. With an eventual boss to beat like in the first one. Your progression is how many unlocks you can hit, and how many new items you can get, as some of those items will make your runs last longer, and you'll be able to go faster, clear more teleporters etc. New characters might also better suit your playstyle then the one you're currently using.

Hhmmm ok I understand, I don't now if I should buy this game for me and my friend... The concept seem to be cool otherwise :)

i call bullcrap. vampire hunters and hades both have rpg carry over progression and both are considered rogue likes.

By people who are very loose with terms, maybe. RoR2 and those other games are actually rogueLITES, with a "t".
