Has anyone seen the Rusty Lockbox yet?

I had a couple of long runs where I explored every map, even with flying to get to unreachable parts. But no chance finding a Lockbox while having 5 keys.

Did anyone see a Lockbox yet and maybe has a screenshot?

I found one. Got a white item. I dunno what it exists for, but that just made them seem pointless. It's a tiny hecking box the size of your head just camoflauged into the ground. I didn't even see the thing; I saw the popup to open it.

The key increases the rarity of the item you get for each stack (each key you find) according to the logbook. The Lockboxes seem hard to find though, I've only found the one so far.

If you only get a red item with like for example 6 keys then it's a waste of item space since you could have 6 actual good white items.

Top tip: activate the teleporter and all interactable items start glowing so just begin searching for a large glow instead of a tiny box

This is what they look like. They're pretty small. Speedyy's tip was good for it, happened to be in a pretty open area for me

I started to find more and more of the lockboxes. Maybe another useful hint is that they don't consume the keys. Apparently the keys just increase the item rarity, even though I mostly only get white items.

supposed to get better loot when you have more keys. had 7 keys one run thanks to a printer.

im sure its the possibility of better loot increases with key count, but honestly the odds are still low.

Thanks for the image of what they look like. Now at least I know what to be watching for, that thing looks easily missable I've probably passed by a few before.

The trouble I've had is that a few of the maps have terrain bumps that look very similar to the box. I've gotten better at finding them, but I think something to make them a little more distinguishable from rocks on the sand map would be good.

Afaik they're simply like normal crates except you can open them without using gold, basically a tiny bonus in case you find a key. Nothing worth looking look for.

Just wait until you start noticing the invisible chests scattered around sometimes...those are annoying if you are desperate for items.

Yeah. Lots of them. They're just a little bit hard to spot on dark surfaces.
Your best bet would probably be looking for it in the Snow Area.

Here's a tip.
You can try to look for it when you're fighting a boss, it will show the red things that indicates you can't pick the item making it easier to find it
