remove the autoaim on huntress...
Her range is terrible, it's not fun at all to just hold mouse 1. And it makes no sense on a projectile weapon of all things, bows should be some of the most satisfying things to line up and lead to hit targets and you made her into the worst character.

That's not pedantic, she can't aim when sprinting or it stops her sprint, she can only shoot head-on toward enemies she's sprinting at.

No it makes her terrible and removes her skill cieling below her skill floor.

"That's not pedantic, she can't aim when sprinting or it stops her sprint, she can only shoot head-on toward enemies she's sprinting at."

Objectively incorrect.

First off you're wrong, there's leaderboards. Second, a game doesn't need to be competitive to require skill, in fact if a game doesn't require skill there's no reason to play it. Struggle is so inherently required in play that without it you just have a boring slog where you hold mouse 1.

No it's objectively correct, you called it pedantic because you still don't understand the difference between aiming and shooting and that's not much of a surprise if you want a game to play itself for you.

It is objectively incorrect. If you can sprint while holding forward+left or forward+right, you can sprint around enemies while you shoot that them. You aren't required to be running straight towards an enemy to deal damage. I refuse to believe you've actually played the character more than long enough to be angry at her design at this point.

I like how I already said that and you called it wrong and then corrected me with the same information. Learn to read.

She's a character that's meant to be used to kite, hence the auto-aim on her M1. She's *probably* going to be the only character with this perk, too.

If you're looking for a skill-based class that rewards your *own* aim, hopoo will probably be adding Sniper from RoR1 in a future update. In the meantime, maybe you should try enjoying this class for what it is? Her synergies are great with items like the Buckler, which decreases damage while sprinting, and the Energy Drink, which increases sprinting speed.

But... you just said that you had to run straight towards and enemy.

Poe's law. Get outta here with your fake anger :v

Bringing up the first game isn't a real argument for anything. Fact is, she has an interesting play style and, if they add similar characters to what were in the first game, we don't need yet another sniper class. Saying she needs to be long range just because she has a bow is being too closed-minded.

Nobody brought up the first game.

That was a reply to this, not you:

Her auto-aim isn't an easy-mode feature. It's meant to make her fire-while-sprinting thing easier to do, but it also drastically cuts her range and her ability to focus specific targets.

Except she can't sprint and aim, her RoF sucks and she does no dmg to make up for that.

She does an amount of damage above zero, meaning she's doing more damage. No other class can sprint and fire, so the fact that she can automatically makes her a more mobile dps than anyone else.

Even if you consider the mechanic a direct nerf, the damage on her other skills does make up for it. Her 4th is very good, and her boomerang is very reliable. Speed buffs also work better for her than for anyone else.

Edit: Wrong quote fix'd.

Honestly, I'd prefer if there was an option, either in the options menu, or in the character select, to toggle whether you wanted huntress auto-aim on. It'd be the best of both worlds. Just find it odd how you can't use her abilities UNLESS something is targeted.

Not sure that would work. Her short range would feel weird with the option off. If turning off autoaim extended her range, then who would ever use the auto? It might be better to turn it into a skill-toggle, like Mul-T has.

Personally, I'd rather the mechanic just be buffed, not removed.

Literally just went on a multi teleport max difficulty AHHAHAHAHA hour and 30 minute run with the huntress. She's absolutely busted, get good. The auto aim is a god send when you're constantly teleporting, chucking infinite boomerangs and raining arrows with a few bandolier pick ups. You'll be shooting less and using more abilities.

I don't mind the auto aim except for the fact that it can be difficult to pick out certain targets in crowd. If there was a way to lock on perhaps, that would be nice
