Risk Of Rain 2 On Linux

Hi there, i'm a big Risk of Rain enthusiast, however i'm playing on Linux, previously when Risk of Rain 2 came out, i was using Windows 10, and everything ran fine. Now that i have switched to Linux, Risk of Rain 2 is no longer supported. I tried using Wine/Proton, but no luck. Now i'm wondering why Risk of Rain 2 doesn't support Linux, but the first game did... Now i know the first and second game both use different engines (GameMaker/Unity), however, Unity can still compile to Linux just fine, i don't see the problem with that. The real reason why i'm confused is because previous Risk of Rain players on Linux, can not play Risk of Rain 2, which is very disappointing. However, Risk of Rain 2 is available on Switch, PS4 and Xbox, but NOT Linux, which to me, doesn't make any sense.

TL;DR - In case the developers are reading this, please compile for Linux. Otherwise, are there any other ways i can run Risk of Rain 2 on Linux?

Edit: I'm using Arch Linux, maybe there are still some libraries i have to install to get Wine/Proton working, but so far, no luck.

Mess about with wine-tkg-git's customization.cfg, make sure _EXTERNAL_INSTALL is enabled.

Hmm, this game has ran well for me with steam proton. I can't really tell you anything. Most people seem to have success running this game with proton as https://www.protondb.com/app/632360 shows, so if you keep trying I'm sure you'll get it working!

I run steam in native mode, and I also use the glorious eggroll forks of proton (although I've just tried this game with the regular proton and it seems fine)

I can play the game too but when i want to see public lobbies the game crashes...
