It would be better if they had a restart button, or a way to change the difficulty, but it shouldn't take 4+ hours for a game mode that's not fun. Seriously...not being able to take a single hit? You take falling damage. you fail. You get hit, you fail. You accidentally hit the crystal and it explodes, you fail. If you have shields and you're hit, you fail. There are only 2 abilities that let you evade damage, but you're forced to use them on the crystals, meaning you're regularly waiting for it to recharge, all while trying to dodge fireballs from behind, and enemies teleporting into existance in front of you, and then you have to use your abilities to try and hit them before you get hit...which you will.
Shame on the devs for forcing us to play a in such a horribly frustrating way to unlock a character ability (even if it reportedly sucks).
Also, I watched that guys video...he ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ starts with a preon. I start with a radar. He doesn't seem to have many enemies spawn in front of him. Also, my crystals are totally not where his are...and the box I opened up just gives me...wait for it...another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ radar.
The challenge switches every day.
Even so, there's too many enemy spawns, and the 0 damage requirement for a gameplay mode outside of 'normal' is insane. If they had made it "don't get any normal health damage for 1 map", I could definitely do that by the 4th map or so. But sure as hell not on a speed run with fireballs coming at me, 0 shields, tons of spawns, etc etc
I still say they need to change it. They should look at what percentage of people actually unlock that achievement. I suspect it's pretty damn low compared to most others. I just unlocked the 10 minute timer one for the Preon. Took as many tries as it did because the snow map wasn't always the 3rd map.
Kinship, Glass, Swarms and Enigma were the artifacts. First level was all lemurians.
Trying to dodge and weave between literally 20-30 fireballs a second was nearly impossible, but having glass made it doable after improving a bit.
Just ignore it. Or edit your save.
Bazaar Beyond Time would like to remind you of it's services of choosing the next stage.
I actually did try that, but turns out my vision sucks and it was the wrong map, so that's 4 coins wasted. That said, I'm now at over 100 coins, so w/e. And again, I managed to pull off the speed run with about 2 1/2 minutes to spare thanks to Acrid...damn he's fun to play as...easily my favorite character.
Personally I did the huntress challenge by picking a prismatic trial with glass so I wouldn't have to waste 2 stages getting to it.
It's almost like Merc has 2 skills that prevents taking damage...
1, I have to use them sparingly due to the crystal damaging me if I don't save 1 of them
2. They have moderate to long recharge times.
3. Timing them is painful when there's swarms of long range enemies. Oh, and don't fall.
Again, I want statistics on how many people have gotten that achievement. I have nearly every other at this point, but have pretty much given up on this one.
