The frenzied leap is good for getting quick jump kills - and bigger groups at stage 4-5 can be mass killed with blackhole/leap then have your items proc - you have two leaps - use one to keep momentum/movement around the map with jumps - Key here is staying mobile, kite if you have to - forget m1 exists past stage 2 it'll keep you alive.
Caustic can work for big groups as well but i do love frenzied leaps CD per kill.
Visions of heresy ( the new Lunar item) is very solid on him because you don't really get the chance to use your melee attack once the enemies get tanky, so that item turns you into a ranged character. If you don't like that it's fine.
Other than that health regen works much better on Acrid than the Transcendence shield(imo), so don't go for that I guess.
I can't really take lunar items so unfortunately, visions of heresy is out (as much as I don't like the default M1) but thanks for the advice!
Also, is there any advice on how to deal with Wandering Vagrants? I feel like out of all the bosses, they give me THE MOST trouble as Acrid (maybe with a magma worm directly popping out from underneath my butt and hitting all their fireballs being a very close second).
