Nerf scavengers!
I think they shouldn't get equipment items, because they can be very very unfair, for example the cube, that avoids you to move or the royal capacitator that one shoots you without you can do anything to avoid it.

I am done with the game till they get a nerf or there is a mod to change or get rid of them.

I was just having a great run with Acrid, met one and it killed me in 2 seconds with a Tesla I think. This was after I had poisoned it down to half health. Its just not fun, there are already enough RNG moments to ruin a run that are completely out of your control.

um, if you stay out of a certain range it cant hit you with tesla... EDIT: Capacitor

I was playing acrid at the time when it nearly 1 shot me, but when I backed off a bit more it didn't activate again and it took me a long while to kill it because it kept picking up personal shield generators

They said something about certain items being too strong on certain enemies(scavenger and void enemies) and they will definitely look at these for the "fix". However the fact that enemies use items is very neat and should definitely be kept. They could also just change stats for items enemies get.

honestly i kind of like having an unfair rng enemy that appears late game, it's super fun for people like me and gives us a taste of our own medicine :D

but i'm sure someone will find a way to just mod them out of the game, just give it a few days

Definitely, I see a lot of people who just want the devs to get rid of majority of RNG; but this is what makes this game this game. lol

The one I encountered was on stage 8 so more early/mid game. I wouldn't be here posting this if it happened late game.

stage 8 is considered late game, most runs are insanely overpowered and usually you're almost unkillable at that point

People enjoy RNG when it serves as a challenge to be planned and played around, not an enemy that might spawn with an instant-kill item or one that just flat out makes it so you can't move. Rolling the dice over and over and hoping you get a favorable role is oversimplifying how RNG as a gameplay mechanic--there needs to be a level of control to not completely rob players of their agency

Scavengers have no business getting Royal Capacitor or Primordial Cube--other items like Tesla/The new disc red item make them impossible to even be next to and teddies turn them into a DPS/gear check. I like their design a lot--they add a lot to the late game madness and the reward for defeating them is worth the risk, but they could stand to have a few items added to their blacklist

On another note, its nuts that Tesla,Capacitor, Cube, Missles (all undodgeable for the most part) are fine for him, but something like Warbanner is off-limits

This boss needs a serious nerf, it's not good design if the boss just outheals any DPS you dish out on it. In my case, I had to end the run there, because I just couldn't do enough dps, even though I was otherwise having a very fortunate run. Very frustrating encounter.

I had an experience earlier where a scavenger shot some kind of shotgun projectile at me and when the projectiles exploded they were all filled with ceremonial daggers.

And another time I was just starting to fight one, was meleeing it in the back as Acrid and immediately died. I have no idea what happened because it happened so quickly, but I definitely wasn't shot

Yea i just had something similiar :D
I was playing as artificer and scavenger spawned like 10 meters away from me and i have died in half a second i dont know what hit me but i think that he spawned with Razor wire and that's what killed me.

+1 to this, Scavenger with daggers is an unavoidable death if he ever does the move where the throws the orange blob enemies

The same thing happens if he ever gets Resonance Disk, tossing enough of those will give him enough kills to fire it off, killing you basically instantly

hmm if that wasnt razorwire then it was probably tesla i really dont know it was too fast and killed me in less then a second.
