Scorched Acres
Anyone else just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this map? I personally hate it because its really easy to get your character stuck on the stairs, and because when you finish killing a boss (teleporter) and the loot spawns, it will sometimes spawn on top of a rock thats too high.

Some people hated and hate this map, but it's OK for others. Personally I see no problem with it. Also, never heard of any problems with stairs.

And yeah, it's annoying when boss loot falls out of reach, but that also happens on other maps.

Yes.
The map isn't the largest in the game, but it takes the longest to traverse unless you've got good mobility. Start on the bottom of one ring run around it to get to the top go to the bottom of the next ring run around it to get to the top... Though if you have an upwards mobility skill it's less of a problem.

It also by far has the largest nooks and crannies, so chest hunting is a lot more difficult. One glance around on titanic plains and I can see most of spots chests can spawn.
Scorched acres is closer to about half the map from a good spot. You have to run around all the lower loops if you actually want to find all the things (which you don't, but I mean... still.)

I know this is an unpopular opinion but Scorched Acres is my favorite map. the teleporter almost
always spawns the opposite of were you spawn and the map is quite linear, so I just run to the teleporter and pick up loot on my way there. But then again what do I know.

Scorched Acres is missing something. It's counterpart can spawn the unique shrine of order and the big drone.
Scorched Acres has nothing and feels undesirable to walk through.
Yes, the stairs are obtrusive.

Ya I always run into that dumb glitch with the stairs hopefully the clipping on those stairs is smoothed out before launch.

Scorched Acres has the Cleansing Pool, which is not unique to that map but certainly can't spawn on Rallypoint Delta.

Least favorite map is Distant Roost.

Every map can spawn a shrine of order, idk why you'd use it though. The only thing Rallypoint Delta can spawn that Scorched Acres can't is the free Preon Accumulator. Also, the big drone is useless and usually dies seconds-minutes within paying for it. Why do you think nobody ever uses it? It's way too big and sucks up projectiles and aggro and ends up dying moments after you buy it.

I think your confusing the Shrine of Order with something else. Here's its wiki page[riskofrain2.fandom.com] to clarify it.

Its the worst map in the game

*Pointless barricades that are just tall enough to not clear with a normal jump
*Half the map is dedicated to hallways stacked on top of each other with next to no cover or room to dodge at base mobility
*TP particles are hard to see on this map
*annoying boss pool
*has a 50/50 chance to appear instead of rallypoint, leaving you without a preon with no compensation

The abundance of pits are kind of the only thing it's got going for it, elites don't get the chance to be a threat on this map if you play REX

Nah that was the shrine I was thinking about and I swear I've seen them in titanic plains in earlier builds of the game. I'm guessing they just made it Rallypoint only. Either way, doesn't matter because it's a run killer.

The design for travelling around with non crazy mobility is annoying, and some genius had the idea to make it all the same colour as the teleporter

The map to me is alright if playing Loader, and ignoring the missing out on a free Preon if you're quick early game. Other classes? I hate it.

Acrid, Huntress, and Mercenary's abilities all give them enough mobility to scale the map. Artificer's hover lets her get around the map incredibly easily provided you spawn on the mountain or the high edge. My issues with Distant Roost are that the first map is way too small and cramped and the new map is a mess of pathways going every which-way. You're always going to run into the teleporter first on the first map because it's usually always within sight of where you spawned, which is only good on the first loop, beyond that you have to waste time searching it for items when the teleporter is right there, and the second map the teleporter is usually the last place you look. Both these maps are an awful timesink and I hate them with a passion. They're the only maps I'm comfortable skipping past the first loop.

You just hit the nail on my head on what was bothering me about this map. So yeah, count me in for spicing up the coloration of the architecture.

Scorched Acres really do need it!
