Missing newt statue on distant roost?
Where is the 4th spawn location for the newt statue on distant roost?

1) There is one in the cave
2) One near the bridge that is there sometimes that you need to jump down onto
3) The one across the bridge behind the rock

However many, many games my friends and I have noticed that the newt statue is not in any of these three locations. To the point were if we wanna do a lunar run (aka spending a ♥♥♥♥ ton of lunar coins) that if we get this map first, we instantly restart till we get the other one.

There are 3 spawns not 4

All maps have exactly 3 locations, Distant Roost is just ♥♥♥♥.

Titanic Plains has at least 4.

I think each newt statue individually decides if they want to appear or not, so sometimes you can get all three/four, other times none of them.

That is strange. I have never seen a map with multiple statues. Just one.

With the exception being distant roost, which usually is missing.

Sometimes Distant Plains closes the doorway to the cave. You can still reach the Newt Altar by going over the top and falling to the ledge in the cave. Getting out requires a bunch of Backup Magazines or some other item to allow you to travel in the air below the caves. You can reach the main room ledge by leaving the cave to the right side and travelling underneath.

The same can be said for Abyssal Depths. The doorway can be closed. but the doorway inside the cave entrance has a VERY DARK AND SMALL opening in the top righthand corner that allows you to bypass the doorway to reach the Altar by the base of the crystal pillars. Just need to jump above the doorway to the right.

I've also seen two Newt Altars on a map more than once.

No it actually doesn't.

1. On the tall rock formation
2. On the ground behind one of the huge stone arches
3. On the very tip top of one of the huge stone arches

As for Distant Roost, I too have noticed that map has absolute trash spawn rate for newts. Most times I go there, not even one spawns. I don't even think I've ever seen the one behind the fallen pillar in the cave except once.

On Distant Roost you can reach both of the potentially-blocked altars. The one you are talking about doesn't require any movement abiliites, the other one is accessible to Huntress and Mercenary from the start, both involve going over the mountain.

If the altar location is blocked and you go there anyway, you can leave the area simply by jumping off the map. If you void out (fall past the bottom of the map) in an area where you aren't supposed to be, the game will teleport you back to the normal area, you still take damage of course.

Here's a video with the Distant Roost alternate routes and lack of spawns. Doesn't show the return routes since both paths are open normally in this video, but like I said just jump off a cliff.

Titanic Plains does in fact have 4.

If you are viewing the map from the cliff edge inward...

1) At the bottom of the arch to the left
2) At the top of the arch to the left
3) at the bottom of the arch to the right
4) At the top of the stone mountain in the middle

I HAVE seen it at the bottom of the arches on both sides, and there are maps online that shows both locations.

I see your point, but your statement is false.
