Math PSA
Harvester's Scythe gives 5% Crit Chance. The 5% doesn't stack with more Scythes.
Predatory Instincts gives 5% Crit Chance. The 5% doesn't stack with more Instincts.
Each Lens-Maker's Glasses grants 10% Crit Chance.

If you have 1 Harvester's Scythe, 1 Predatory Instincts, and 9 Lens-Maker's Glasses.

5 + 5 + (9 x 10) = 10 + 90 = 100

That is 100% Crit Chance.

Apparently there are people with 20+ hours in the game who don't already know this.

It's not been explained the best, so of course there will be people that still don't know. Besides, it's not *really* 100%, is it? Just close enough as to not have a meaningful difference, right? Or hell, is it even 100%? I forget if any of the items specifically lists if it stacks or is compounding.

he literally just showed you its a full 100% and not shy of it like 99%.

It stacks linearly, so yes it is exactly 100%. With 9 glasses and at least 1 of each of the two greens, every single hit will be a crit.

To be fair there are some items that don't stack linearly, so it's good to question things. Tougher Times, for example, doesn't actually ever grant 100% damage immunity, but you can get up to 99.99% immunity... with like, 600 teddies.

If there's an item on sale in a shop for 50% off, but then another deal comes out that says it's slashed by a further 20%, is it 70% off the original price, or is it 20% off of the 50% off of the original price (I think that works out to be 60% off if I'm doing the math right)?

Yeah, I do hope they overhaul the logbook to better explain which is linear and which isn't. Makes for some inconsistent differences at times.
